Just returned. Small campsite right on the Tarka Trail, overlooking the estuary. Left to Bideford, right to Barnstaple on a flat trail. Defo take your bikes. head west for Instow beach, amazing. Check out the Glorious Oyster Bar/restaurant, a touch of Greece right there. Spotless showers/washing rooms. large pitches, friendly, quiet, and helpful owners. 3 nights, 1 van T5, 1 person, £54, no HU.
Beautifully modern campsite, with dedicated gravelled spots for motorhomes. £44 pn for motorhome with electric, so not cheap, but no other hidden costs. Toilet/sanitation block is new and pristine. Best of all, it is directly on the Tarka trail, so safe bike access to Bideford and Barnstaple. Regular busses on the road too if you don't want to cycle/walk.
Still very cozy with a beautiful view, but the prices are not up to date: £40 for a motorhome with two adults without electricity. Lots of space around us.
We booked 1 night and stayed 2…could have stayed more! Really well set out site with brand new facilities finished to a high standard. The Tarka trail was great for the children to cycle on and a lovely place to explore from. Pizza and brewery next door was a great add on, funny/friendly owners! We would love to come back when in the area again!
Lovely site, right on the tarka trail with hot and clean showers! The brewery and pizzas are great and it's ran by a beautifully eccentric man! The sunsets in Instow are beautiful... shame about the people.
Great campsite. Sanitary facilities new, modern and very clean. The site is level, with grass areas and paved strips for bicycles. Check-in is by phone; in the evening a friendly lady comes to complete check-in. The Tarka Trail passes directly by the site. Very quiet with a beautiful view and a brewery with a taproom right next door. Price £36 per night for a camper, three people and one dog.
Nice small site. Great views of the estuary. Good very new facilities. Next to tarka trail.
