Free permitted parking (2.5h disc-zone stretch plus separate 10h disc zone within it), just outside Sion cemetery, about 25 minutes' walk from the centre. Not really set up for overnight stays given the short stay limits, but handy as a daytime base for sightseeing. Around 60 spaces need a parking disc, plus roughly 20 unmarked spaces with no time limit. Free water can be fetched by walking into the cemetery.

The parking area is great for visiting the city, but you are now only allowed to stay for 2.5 hours. Not suitable for overnight stays.
