Rue de la Plaine des Sports, 08120, Bogny-sur-Meuse
Been here?
This sports-centre car park lies beside the Meuse and a cycle route on a dead-end road. It is generally calm at night and suitable for a day or overnight stay, with a bakery 600m away. Sports training can create loud, echoing noise, and passing trains have also been mentioned. No services or bins are available.

Quiet parking area, very peaceful on the banks of the Meuse behind the stadium. We are alone. We will spend 24 hours here.
Mixed parking area between the greenway and sports field on a dead-end road. Be careful when it rains so you don't end up in a puddle. Cycling to Charleville (south): 46 km round trip; to Monthermé (north): 20 km round trip. Aldi 1.6 km away and Lidl 1.4 km away. From 8 to 11 p.m., a bright LED lamp illuminates the site. Beautiful view of the Meuse and wooded mountain. The train across the Meuse is not disturbing.
Great spot on the banks of the Meuse and the greenway. Anyone who says they didn't see the river and pavement was certainly in the wrong place. No traffic at night because it's a dead end. The first evening there were many cars because of sports training; it was noisy because the sound echoes, but everyone was gone by 8:30 p.m. We spent two very quiet nights.
On the banks of the Meuse and the cycle route. Perfect for the day and night we spent here alone and peacefully. Bakery 600 meters away.
Very disappointed. Paved parking area where you cannot even see the river. We left immediately.
Bucolic location on the cycle route! Then at 8 p.m., suddenly a car with techno music blasting! Dubious comments! We felt we were in the way. We left after an hour of music designed to drive us away.
I was a little on edge about staying, bearing in mind the previous comment. But it’s a lovely spot, very peaceful, beautiful river. One other camper turned up late and left early but other than that we had the place to ourselves. It felt safe and the only people we saw were a few dog walkers and cyclists. The football training started about 9.00, and was noisy but didn’t bother us.
We thought it would be a great, pleasant spot and the comments seemed good. The football training and train were not too serious since they stopped early. But at 6 a.m. a car came and drifted several times next to the motorhome; stones hit the bodywork and there was mud all over the windows. Since it is isolated, I was very scared.
Because of the comments about nights at the Charleville-Mézières area, I preferred to leave in the evening and spend the night in Brogny. We were alone that night, in complete peace and quiet. Too bad there are no bins. We tried the chip shop at the foot of the Meuse bridge, and it was very good.
We spent a good night there despite the village festival. Very quiet after the festivities ended. Plenty of spaces, 4G worked well.
