Lakeside overnight parking, poor toilets

The site itself is okay and nicely situated, but the toilets are really unusable.

Beautiful place by the lake. Toilets (especially mens) are in bad shape. We stayed for one night and the place was crowded. With own toilet and travelling off-season this is nice place to stay for even several days.

Lovely spot, but the toilets are closed and the ones that are open are deplorable. If you have your own toilet, it is perfect and you will be very comfortable; the place is beautiful.

In itself, a truly more-than-dreamlike place. Great view of the water and excellent barbecue facilities. Unfortunately, there is a lot of litter (tissues, etc.) and it is very close to the road. Nevertheless, a wonderful place.

An absolute disaster in winter. There is occasional passing traffic, but later it becomes a huge tourist event. We drove on.

Warning: beautiful place, but tourists are taken onto the ice here by tour buses. Parking is overcrowded; the place is full of people even in the middle of the night, so it is not quiet. Fun to watch, but then leave quickly.

Very nice place, good for seeing the aurora when it appears. Lots of cars come and go until midnight.

Nice place to stop and admire the northern lights. A little close to the road (headlights are somewhat disturbing), but far enough from Rovaniemi's lights. Easy access for a motorhome and possible to stay overnight, although there are no services.

Beautiful place to sleep for one night. Several small buses arrived in the evening, probably aurora-hunting tourists. Otherwise, a really beautiful place.

Very nice place to sleep while watching the northern lights, with a charming fire pit. The parking area gets quite busy in the evening and you can hear the main road a little, but it did not bother us. Great view over the lake.

A beautiful place! Ideal for spending the night; there are toilets, a barbecue, and, if the sky is clear, the northern lights. Be aware that people come here at night to see the northern lights, so it can be busy overnight.

Wonderful place, beautiful view but not really peaceful. At the beginning of the evening it filled up completely with campers, not all of whom respected each other's privacy. Great place to see the northern lights!

Beautiful place directly on the lake with several covered barbecue areas. Please keep the place clean, otherwise overnight stays here will soon be prohibited. Unfortunately, there are “nice” people from southern Europe who cannot bring their rubbish to the almost empty bin just 10 meters away and simply leave it in the parking area. They should be ashamed.

This is probably a good place to have a rest along the road but it was noisy because it's next to a fairly busy road until late at night and early in the morning.

Perfect spot to spend the night when visiting Rovaniemi! Not many mosquitoes, a place to make a fire, and even a changing area if you want to go for a swim. The only thing is that it was a little noisy because it’s next to the road. However, highly recommended.

Very nice rest area beside the lake. There is plenty of space. We are not packed in together.

We stayed one night and it was okay for that. Unfortunately, some people without toilets on board relieved themselves in the adjacent woods, and the road is clearly audible. However, swimming in the 30°C water was refreshing. PLEASE STOP HERE only if you can keep the place clean! Otherwise, it will soon no longer be available.

A place right on the lake, ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, and so on. There is a toilet, although it is disgusting. The only downside is the road noise.

Beautiful place for a stopover. We had great weather (32°C), so the water was pleasantly warm too. Gladly again.

Spectacular views of the lake. But it is only a few meters from the E75, so it is noisy. The toilets were open but smelly, so we did not use them. The fireplace could not be used because of a bird's nest in the chimney. But anyway, it is a good place for one night.

Four stars for the beautiful surroundings and swimming opportunity. The fifth star was lost because of the traffic noise.

Parking beside the road. Although you cannot see it, the road is very noisy early in the morning (6 a.m. Finnish time). Not very clean, and because of the rain we did not enjoy the surroundings; at least we avoided the mosquitoes.

The place is quite beautiful overall. It is a shame that the toilets are still closed even in mid-June. The locals who come here to the fire pit naturally go elsewhere, and not far from the campers. This certainly does not help keep the place clean. We stayed one night, which was great!

Great place directly on the lake. Very quiet, very clean. Nice hut with a fire pit and firewood.
