Lake parking, overnight restrictions

We like the place, but seeing that people do not read the rules about parking and camping: overnight stays are not prohibited in Spain; what is prohibited is wild camping without permits. Therefore, we will not go eat, spend money, and visit the town. They should learn from the rest of Europe in our Spain.✦Translating

Magnificent place; the only drawback is the ticket issued by the municipal police officer. Apparently, the local police officer recommends a fine for having your car parked there. We are very indignant because we did not litter anything; on the contrary, we cleaned the place, since apparently people have parties there on weekends and left all the rubbish. Fantastic place to stay, with good views and no problems with the Guardia Civil. They told me to notify them so they know if there is any problem, but nobody bothered us there. WARNING: do not try to reach the water; you cannot turn around, and the road has loose stones unless you have a short vehicle. It is not worth it; the beautiful part is up above.✦Translating

Excellent. Access via the J5042 is recommended. Do not do as we did: we arrived via the motorhome area road, with a dangerous right-angle turn in town. Otherwise, a nice spot. Most locals park their cars by the water along the stony track. There is little room and a risk of damage to our vehicles.✦Translating

absolutely perfect spot, incredible view and very flat and easy to access, lots of space. would 100% recommend staying at this spot and not carrying on further down to the beach, I saw a lot of cars struggle to get back up the loose shale road and even a van that almost bottomed out on potholes and barely managed to get back up! would be surprised if they didn't do some damage

A little piece of paradise with an incredible view! Two very peaceful nights. Some daytime traffic, as everyone comes to enjoy the fresh air. However, the dumpster is overflowing! Unfortunately, far too many inconsiderate people come to eat and leave their rubbish on the ground. Shame on them for dirtying such a beautiful place! Very nice campsite. We stayed for one night. Some pedestrians and other cars were around until the evening, but the night was very quiet. The next morning, a little tourist train came by.✦Translating

Absolutely wonderful and quiet place. There are three benches and, unfortunately, currently a very full rubbish container. Please do not drive past the place where the road branches off to the right. At the end there is no turning area for motorhomes and you will never get out again. Getting down to the water is a challenge even with a 4x4. There is another viewpoint above.✦Translating

Absolutly amazing view and nature. In the afternoon it was really calm. We were there st friday and at night around 1:30am till 3:00 a lot young people came to drink with a lot of noise. Would be a smashing 5 stars if we had a good night of sleep.

Viewpoint with beautiful views over the reservoir and at sunset. The place is a very flat open area practically at the end of the road leading to the reservoir. I saw no sign saying “no parking or driving” either at the beginning of the track or where I parked, as one comment indicates. Super quiet night. Easy access with a large camper. Recommended.

What a view. If you are a large vehicle don’t attempt to drive down to the water. Stay in the car park above and walk down to the swimming area. We did get a group of youths on their motorbikes about midnight (Saturday night). They came close to the van but we didn’t feel too uncomfortable. They left shortly after riding around a bit. The view and swim was worth it.

A place of maximum peace and tranquility, fully recommended for sleeping. I arrived around midnight and there was another camper; we slept without any problems or disturbance. Spectacular views. Thanks for the recommendation.

Not suitable for motorhomes. A little farther back there is a parking area near a viewpoint. It can accommodate two motorhomes.

Great parking area, not difficult to reach, with paved road except for the last gravel ramp. Beautiful view. On Saturday, September 23, there were six vans.
