Been here?
Wild spot with magnificent lake views and parking scattered along a forest path. Eco-toilets and picnic tables provided. Extremely crowded during daytime; arrive early for flat parking spots. Very calm at night. Large motorhomes cannot turn around. No services or phone network; excellent hiking base.

A magnificent place. You can park level at the bottom left, right at the start of the hiking trail. Very, very quiet at night; lots of people during the day, so finding a space can be difficult if you arrive too early. During the day, it is impossible to turn around with a motorhome. Fine for a van. Beautiful hikes nearby.Translating
Magnificent view of the lake, but the place is very busy and there are few level spaces. On the other hand, it is ideal as a starting point for hikes to other equally beautiful places. No services.Translating
We arrived mid June, during a heatwave, only to find out you can’t swim in the lake! It was very crowded. We tried to stick it out but decided to hedge our bets and continue further up the road, and we were so glad we did. Found a quieter and cooler spot with access to hikes.
Superb view of the lake, very quiet. Two or three vans in mid-November, but plenty of space.Translating
Superb! A breathtaking view!Translating
Incredible spot; the view is simply magnificent. About seven vehicles on this September evening, but relatively well spaced along the entire road. Bins in the car park 100 m away. Several hikes start nearby.Translating
Wonderful place. We were able to park without any problem and spend the night. Hiking trails nearby. No mobile coverage.Translating
Nice place for doing a short hike the next day. Many people during the day. Leave it CLEAN!Translating
Spectacular place to sleep. There is plenty of space for campers and it is the starting point for multiple mountain trails. There is a small bar in the upper area and public toilets.Translating
Very nice place. Many parking spaces, though you need to arrive early. Small snack bar in the upper car park. Quiet night. Several hikes nearby.Translating
Very beautiful view of the lake, with many spaces shared with cars. Hiking is possible. If you drive carefully, you can get up here with a 7.5 m motorhome.Translating
The site is magnificent! Clean toilets. Indeed, there is no phone signal. A small criticism of the town hall: is it really necessary to mow the verges from 5:30 in the morning?Translating
We spent an afternoon and night here, enjoying the place all to ourselves after 5 PM. There are three parking lots spread across two levels. We particularly liked the one closest to the forest. The lovely walk around the lake takes about 45 min. You can buy cheese right at the beginning of the trail. At night, it was wonderfully quiet, with no lights to disrupt the peacefulness of the starry sky.
I parked here to walk around the lake. At 6 PM, only two cars remained; it was very quiet and cool. However, there was no signal, so I went back to Beaufort.Translating
Perfect spot! Total disconnection because there is no signal. Waking up to the sound of cowbells—a place you absolutely must discover! We were in our 7.35 m motorhome and parked without any problem.Translating
Beautifully located parking area without facilities, quiet, few people, clean. Because of the general ban on dogs, even on a leash, we could not walk anywhere, let alone hike. What a shame!Translating
Always a pleasure to come back here. The landscape is magnificent and the hikes are all more beautiful than the last. Please respect this place, which is already suffering from heavy overcrowding.Translating
Superb, peaceful spot for perfect nights! Be aware that there are few level spaces; you have to wait for cars to leave at the end of the day to reposition. Drawbacks: no internet or phone signal. Advantage: very clean dry toilets. Otherwise, no construction work at the end of August.Translating
A pleasant place for its many walks. Parking is free, thank you! Only the road via Beaufort is open; a landslide has closed the other road. Major works are underway along the lakeshore. Do not be surprised by the lack of phone signal—ideal for recharging your batteries!Translating
