Clean gravel site, pool showers included

Excellent camper stop, within walking distance of the city center and very quiet (during our stay there was no activity at the ice rink). Very well maintained and all pitches level. You can take lovely walks directly along the canal. Completely fine for €12.

Gravelled, clean, level site with water and waste disposal. Toilets and showers at the leisure pool, about a six-minute walk away, free with presentation of the parking ticket/receipt. Road clearly audible.

A beautifully maintained site and a very friendly operator. He also recommended the swimming pool, six minutes away on foot, as it was terribly hot; you even get a 20% discount. We would gladly return and can only recommend the site.

We stayed here for two nights. Everything was great. The ice rink was closed for the summer, so everything was quiet and relaxing. Dorsten is a lovely little town.

This was a good stop. It was a hot day and we needed some shade. The walking trails around here are lovely. There are bike trails everywhere. It’s right near the river. They have a dump freshwater and trash bins. They also have power but you have to park in the right spot to be able to access it. There’s no bathroom or showers on site, but they offer showers at a local place a few blocks away.

I spent one night at the Dorsten camper stop and was very satisfied. The site is spacious, the staff friendly and the facilities well organized. The showers at the nearby swimming pool are perfectly adequate. Fair at €12 per night. Tip: choose pitches away from the ice rink, as it is quieter there.

We just spent two nights here and it was great! The ice rink is indeed very noisy if you are in the adjacent parking area, but on the other one, for online reservations, the noise is not very bothersome. The swimming pool is right next door and the town center is five minutes away. I recommend it highly. The woman we spoke to was very kind and helpful. A little extra: the geese.

We were only here to use the disposal facilities; for €2 that is absolutely excellent. We also liked the site itself. We heard the noise from the ice rink, but do not know how it affects sleeping.

The camper stop itself is good. The man at registration is nice and friendly. €12 for one night. Showers and toilets at the neighboring Atlantis indoor pool, about three minutes' walk away, can be used free of charge. There is a 20% discount on admission to Atlantis. What is really awful is the excessively loud music from the neighboring ice rink, continuing into the night. So only three stars for us.

The camper stop itself is quite decent, but the constant noise from the ice rink is an imposition. If we come to Dorsten again, we certainly will not use this site.

As already mentioned in other reviews, the ice-rink noise on weekends is almost unbearable. In addition, the entire parking area is covered with small stones, which naturally get carried into the camper. The tour and registration were excellent, and the disposal station also looked very well maintained.

We were here for the second time—but not again. Actually a nice place, but the infernal noise from the ice rink was terrible.

A nice place, if only it weren't for the ice rink with its constant music! From 7 p.m. it got even louder, and it continued until 10 p.m. Very good connections to the city and bike paths.

Perfect for a short stay. Friendly man at the reception and the town is a very short walk from the parking site.

Friendly welcome; ideal for us because the walk to the Golden Anchor restaurant by Björn Freitag is very short. You can also take beautiful bike rides along the Lippe. The road can be heard, but it was quiet at night and we slept well. Happily again.

The site itself is nice, and the site manager is very committed and friendly. At the swimming pool around the corner, you can shower and use the toilet for free, about 400 m away. The problem is the ice rink next door. Fortunately, the season ends there at the end of April, after which the site is fully recommendable. As long as ice skating is taking place, the noise is unacceptable.

I have been here twice. Great place, great sanitary facilities. The ice rink is very loud. I was here with my kids. Actually ideal, with the swimming pool and ice rink nearby. Nice little town.

Excellent disposal point for gray and black water, also suitable for liners. Costs €2 in cash in the mailbox.

A great place, as others have already described. But the loud, thumping music from the ice rink is unbearable. To understand the television, we had to turn it up to maximum volume and shout at each other. The fun continued until 11 p.m. No, that really isn't acceptable. Such a shame.

Very well managed—even though it is near a major road, it is very quiet at night. The canal and nature are quickly reachable for walks. The host was super friendly. We were very satisfied.

Centrally located. Grass-and-stone surface, fairly level. Main road nearby. Great paths along the canal for walking. The town is nearby with everything you need. Registration was very easy and friendly. Unfortunately, the shower at the swimming pool, five minutes away on foot, was unavailable.

We were there on October 1, 2024, at around 8 p.m. while passing through. Several spaces were still available. €11 is a great price! In the morning, the site manager warmly welcomed us and gave us our receipt. Everything is as described.
