Mountain parking, wind and no services

we spent one really quiet night here, we were all alone. the parking in on gravel and the road is quiet at night, even on weekends. you have to pay the entrance to the national park, we had the annual pass for all the parks.

A real gem of a parking spot! So quiet in the peaceful mountains, totally flat, and the girl in the shop on the corner was super nice. There were a couple of other campers here and lots of room for all. Fresh mountain spring water available near the hotel Monte Rosa. The hotel is where the hike to the mausoleum starts. Loved it!!

Very nice free spot; it was quiet and two other campers were staying with us. In the morning we were the first at the mausoleum, which is a must-do for the view alone.

We stayed here for three nights without any problems. At weekends many people come to hike and climb; during the week it is quiet. The road is unused at night and you can sleep wonderfully. There is no bin on site. Incidentally, there are snakes hiding among the rocks, so be a little careful. We would come back anytime—great place!

The parking area was inaccessible because of snow, so we parked right next to it. We had an excellent night.

I stayed here on 8 December 2025. Wonderful, secluded, and quiet place. In the off-season, everything is of course closed, including access to the mausoleum. The road seems to be used occasionally for car races. Two cars drove past with loudly roaring engines, and then it was over. I enjoyed spending the night there.

Great location to stay overnight when you go to see the mausoleum, which has a fantastic view. We went up by bike. The food in the restaurant under the mausoleum is also excellent.

Quiet place for the night, an excellent starting point for the mausoleum and other hikes in the national park—several routes start directly from the site. Warning: do not leave anything outside overnight; there are thieves ;-) We lost one shoe.

Beautiful pitch without services. The owner is very nice and sells small items at a stand next door. From there it is about a 45-minute walk to the entrance of the mausoleum and the start of hiking tours through the national park. Complete peace, in the middle of nature, and free. I would come back anytime.

A wonderful, peaceful night. Few cars during the day and none at night. Far from the road. A hiking trail also starts here. About one hour to Kotor. It becomes pleasantly cool in the evening.

Level gravel area directly in front of the road to the mausoleum. Very quiet at night. Great view in this breathtaking landscape. €3 national park fee per person. Overnight stays are permitted here according to the park ranger.

Very quiet place. No facilities. Space for about eight motorhomes. There is a roadside stand selling homemade food and souvenirs. Absolutely quiet in the evening and at night. Highly recommended.

We spent one night there. Great view of the mountains. Plenty of space. Free place. National park entrance costs €3.

Great place without any infrastructure. The stalls are still closed in the off-season. We approached the place from Kotor—many tight hairpin bends and a very narrow road. Manageable with a 5.40 m Ducato, but sometimes very tight when meeting oncoming traffic. You need to be a confident driver or it will be difficult.

A place surrounded by beautiful views.

The park ranger told us we were allowed to camp in the national park—surprising! We spent two nights in this parking area. Flat and with little traffic. Go up to the mausoleum; if only for the view over ALL of Montenegro, which is impressive!

We spent a very quiet night here with other campers, motorhomes, and 4x4s... among the mountains! Perfect if you want to visit and have some fun at the Alpine Coaster, have a drink at its café with incredible views of the Bay of Kotor, go hiking, or climb to the mausoleum! Perfect!!!!

Large, level area for spending the night, behind the roadside shops. Perfect for escaping the coastal heat. Five minutes’ drive from the mausoleum car park. The lower part of the esplanade can no longer be accessed. Recommended.

My second time here. I was here in 2022. Winter was already great. Still just as good, and also very beautiful in this season.

Very nice free place to sleep, completely quiet, but no shade; the slight coolness is pleasant. At 8:00 a.m. we went to the free bus parking area (8 spaces). Do not go farther, because there is no parking at the top and cars park along the very steep roadside, reducing its width. National park fee: €3, and €8 for the mausoleum per person.

Great place to cool down, with very pleasant temperatures at night. We stayed here with two cars and it was absolutely great. Although there is a road nearby, it was quiet in the evening. Beautiful view of the opposite hill in the morning. The portable toilet was usable. Nobody asked us to pay.

Very nice pitch from which you can hike to the monument, which is ABSOLUTELY worth seeing. In summer there are many large but friendly bees here. Do not approach the pitch from Kotor with a camper; it is too narrow.
