Excellent place and view, very peaceful night. Temperature inversion during the night, a perfect 21°C.

We were here alone. Nice. Good night's sleep. Walk to the cathedral and town, 10 minutes. Will be back.

Beautiful spot without services, but it has the merit of being made available with a very beautiful view over the Douro. The town could be nice, but we could not enjoy the restaurants because we have a small dog and dogs are not allowed there. Only one pizzeria, whose pizzas are very good, allowed us on the terrace. I have very mixed feelings about our visit.

Very good place to sleep with a view over the Douro, quiet and level. Recommended by the tourist office. A pleasant mini-cruise on the Douro. Restaurant “O Mirandes” is very good and very—or perhaps too—generous for €20: starter, main course, dessert, coffee and drink.

Sleeping with these views is a luxury, easily accessible and without disturbance. If they added a disposal and filling point, it would be perfect.

5 and 6 September 2023. Superb place: peaceful, spacious and level parking spaces. View of the Douro gorges and Spain opposite, as it is the natural border. It is a parking area for two outlying halls of Miranda do Douro, little used. We arrived on the evening of the 5th. Streetlights, safe place and quiet night. Thank you to the town and welcoming locals.

Good place to park and spend the night. Very quiet, but no shade or services. Beautiful views. The village is 10 minutes away.

A beautiful view over the Douro. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. after the Douro boat trip (€18 per adult, and worth it, with young children). There was nobody there. Another motorhome arrived during the night. The major drawbacks were the wasps, which prevented us from eating outside, and the streetlights being on all night.

Nice place to enjoy the evening and night. One car drove onto the site but did not approach us. Because of rubbish behind the walls there were many wasps, but this was not really a problem for us. That is nature.

Very quiet place to sleep, level and with good views. The police came by at night to check the area but did not say anything to us. I give it four stars rather than five because there were many mosquitoes, which made for a bad night.

I agree: very quiet place facing the Douro. We spent the night there in the cool air and felt safe. Ideal for those who want to take the Douro cruise below. No services, only a rubbish bin.

We spent two very quiet nights here. Grandiose view of the Douro and the yellow rock face. At 9:30 in the morning, five large eagles or vultures flew very close past the vehicle. The beautiful old town is only 10 minutes away. It can be noisy and lively at weekends. No services.
