The place is spectacular, surrounded by mountains. Difficult access for motorhomes, with no services. The information is poor: one sign says “daytime only,” while another user told us that payment was also collected at the refuge, so we did that. If, like us, you wanted to stay on the Sella Pass... to experience the stunning views and to be able to walk out of your camper straight up Sasso Lungo in the morning... then this is your best option. This place represents good value for money compared to all the other legal options. The guy running it is charming, if seemingly a little brusque, but it helps if you at least attempt some Italian.

The only place we could find to park our campervan. Other parking areas have height limit of 2.2m. Very expensive, we paid €25 at 11:00am which allowed us to stay until 18:00, but no other options. For day and night it’s €50. Still, the gentlemen who collected payment was nice and we were happy to park so we could hike a little and take the coffin cable car.

Place with good views, few level pitches and very expensive: €25 to stay overnight until 8, and another €25 if you stay half a day longer. We did not use the refuge toilets. It is the only enclosed place where you can sleep in the area; if you arrive early, you may find one of the few free spaces up at Sella Pass.✦Translating

Stayed here for two nights, the owner greeted on arrival around 6:30pm We payed 25€ from 6pm - 9am would be another 25€ to stay during the day. Some spaces are uneven, but toilets available (locked overnight) in the refuge. showers also available for 6€ per person. Very pitcuresque and safe spot, access to climbing, via ferrata, walks and chair lifts.

We arrived in the evening and the man who manages the pitches came straight over to us. For €50, we were able to stay overnight and for the entire following day. The night was very quiet, and early in the morning we could head straight towards the mountain massif. The toilets were very clean. You shouldn't arrive too late, otherwise you may have no chance of finding a level spot.✦Translating
