Been here?
This large, mostly level gravel parking area beside the lake has public toilets in a grey wooden hut, bins and nearby playgrounds. Shops are 500m away and the town centre is 1km away, making it convenient for a stopover. The nearby road is quiet at night, but local traffic and weekend parties with cars and motorcycles can be noisy.

Beautiful, level parking area with a park and playgrounds. But not suitable for spending the night on weekends, as local teenagers party there until the early morning.
Good place for a break or even an overnight stay. The nearby road has very little traffic at night.
Great stopover by the lake with plenty of space. Free public toilets are in the grey wooden hut, and bins are available. Can be a bit noisy due to local traffic, but still a convenient stop for lunch. Did not park4night.
We found it too busy and left after dinner for a quieter place. The parking area is gravel and fairly flat, by the lake.
Perfect night in this parking area with a view of the lake and our first northern lights. Not far from the town center.
as a stopover, and especially with a dog, we‘re loving this area. yes, you hear the street as it‘s very close but the views, the playgrounds around, the huge park to walk along the river, the beach volleyball fields, the sandy beach.. all of that plays off the noise - at least for us :)
There are actually 2 areas: one beside the port, for 3 motorhomes or 4 campers. This is the closest to the drifting area. Another larger area is beside the beach. If it is full, drifting there is not feasible. We stayed in the small one. The young people came, but kept to themselves. The noise can be annoying, but their behavior was not disrespectful, let alone violent.
Great place, but the teenagers with their cars and motorcycles will not let you sleep. A shame; Finns are otherwise very friendly. They seem to be different here.
Beautiful place, but very noisy because of the traffic, even at night.
The place is beautiful, but we fled at 8 p.m. after the car races, drifting, started around us: four or five cars with teenagers. We drove 20 minutes farther to the War Museum and had a wonderful, peaceful night.
Great place. Several travelers can fit. Frisbee, beach volleyball, and the possibility of grilling sausages.
local cars drive here until 11pm. reindeers also walking nearby. close to the shops and to the are where you can swim and play freesbee. toilets available.
Location is good but local youngsters on motobikes found it funny to revv their engines around our RV until late night.
