Parking, sea views, occasional noise

Really useful spot. Not the prettiest place but quiet and lots of spots to choose along the road. Not many bins we could see.

Great park up! an unobstructed view of the sea with a road and cycle path between you and the sea. 4g signal was good, 25 minutes walk to town centre, Lidl and Aldi close by as well. Bins next to the spots. The spot is popular for dog walkers so expect the occasional person walking by, and there was the odd boy racer, but it was single digits at most and none stopped, great for a Saturday night!

Perfect. We slept very well without noise despite it being Saturday. An incredible sunset, one of the best we have seen in Scotland in 40 days. Ideal if you need to take a flight from the airport served by Ryanair.

Very beautiful, peaceful and quiet spot.

not sure why I have only given this place 4 starts. Absolutely nothing wrong with this stop. Your right on the prom, listening to the waves, trains do go past at the other side but they are very quiet probably electric, dog walkers on that side too in the field.

Very quiet night by the sea, facing Arran. Excellent location, plenty of space; even outside, you can barely hear the train 200 meters away.

Another good night spent on the promenade. Completely resurfaced, with marked parking bays. Large bins are available. Ideal for staying one night.

nice clean spot, but boy racers using it as a drag strip. Dangerously close to vans. if one losses control at that speed you and your van are totalled. we decided to move on as not worth the risk.

Stayed 1 night, some fast traffic rocked the van (& the storm that passed over at 4am), but overall a good spot. Great views (When the clouds cleared) & a field for the dog to have a run on.

Great to wake up by the sea. only dog walkers and about 6 vans, but all spaced out, so it felt private. No traffic at all, very quiet. plenty of bins.

We spent the night here. Very quiet. Pleasant to wake up facing the sea. The entrance through an industrial estate made us hesitate, but everything went perfectly. Slightly sloped sideways. Plenty of parking.

Quiet road with lots of space for parking, and plenty of areas for dogs, with a large grassy area next to the parking. Be aware of low bridges in the local area for taller vans and motorhomes; the limit is 9 feet 6 inches.

Stayed here for one night, on the promenade so you can hear the water at night and the trains going past. A few people around in their cars hanging around. No facilities but nice view/sunset

This was like a secret spot just for us. Right by the sea and so quiet except for a few cars early evening. Short walk to train station for Glasgow. If over 3t then approach from Limekiln Rd due to bridge issue other end.

Great ocean view overlooking Arron, bit windy over night, plenty of spaces, access to to beach for walking dogs.

Free, quiet place directly by the sea.

Wow, what a beautiful place and setting. So peaceful and beautiful. Everything as described. Plenty of bins and very clean. New tarmac road and beautiful promenade. Even without sunshine, with some clouds, a little rain and a nostalgic train passing occasionally, it is peaceful and pleasant. Thanks for the tip and definitely recommended. Beautiful spot... it doesn't look like much when driving there, but once you arrive, there is a wonderful view of the sea... only that promised sunset... there has to be some sun for that... ;-)

stayed last night, by the sea, great for our dogs, very windy, quite felt safe, no bars or shop near. Still lovely spot.

Flat car park with many spaces, lovely views over the water. Loads of bins, very quiet

Aimed for here but we moved on, right on the edge of town on the seafront but quite industrial and behind a dog walking/kids on dirt bikes bit of field.. Handy for a quick lunch stop, or overnight if nowhere else available but it's nothing special.

Great for us, beautiful sunset, and slept well despite the van rocking in the wind! Emptied black waste in the free disposal point in the carpark and got some water from the Scottish water drinking water fountain marked on this app.

Great for an overnight stay. It was quite windy at the end of January, but otherwise there was little noise.

Not the best park up ever, but quiet and they are retarmacking the main sea front road at the time of the review. Trains on railway noisy behind as the stop just past the bridge.
