1 Fortsteenweg, 2170, Antwerpen
Been here?
This is a small, quiet and shaded parking area beside a park in a former fort, with playgrounds and walking routes. Carrefour and other shops are 300 m away, while metro 3 is 200 m away and takes 20 min to Antwerp. Police are regularly present because of the fort, but overnight parking has caused no reported problems.

Perfect for spending the night. Very quiet, with a park nearby that is highly recommended to visit.
Quite night all good
Very quiet parking area with few people at this time of year. Ideal for a short morning walk along Fort Van Merksen. Close to all amenities.
Stayed here again. A lovely, peaceful place with lots of shade. The neighbors sometimes come to see what is parked there. Please take your rubbish with you.
Very pleasant parking area, with large trees everywhere and guaranteed shade all day! There is a park next to it in an old military fort, which explains the regular police presence; we were not spoken to about parking. There are community gardens at the end of the street, with taps on the roadside. The water is not drinkable, but practical for other uses!
Very beautiful place, starting point for short but lovely hike around the fort (1,6 km). Kids loved playground. Quiet, not at all busy
A quiet, peaceful place. You can leave the campervan and take line 3 to the center of Antwerp. The ticket costs €3 (May 1, 2025).
Quiet parking area by a pond and a larger building. A little farther away from the football field there is a huge children's playground.
We spent a day and a night in this motorhome parking area. We took the opportunity to walk the three trails around the fort. Our children enjoyed the various play structures at the citadel. There is also a recently installed adult obstacle course. The night in the parking area was very quiet, and we slept well.
5 minutes from the train stop for visiting the city. Very good. We did not stay overnight. There is currently a very noisy construction site there.
This place looks perfect and pleasant at first, but there is a streetlamp shining right in your face, lots of mosquitoes due to stagnant water nearby, and a lot of late-night coming and going by local people. It felt unsafe. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but construction started at 7 a.m. A very difficult night.
Fantastic place to spend a night. Quiet and peaceful, with a park just a few minutes away behind the parking area. Plenty of space to park. 100% recommended.
Located on a dead-end street in a very clean and quiet neighborhood. We stayed one night. Very close—5 minutes on foot—to the tram for reaching Antwerp city center. Near the tram stop there is a Carrefour, a kind of shopping center. No services. Recommended.
Great spot! Very quiet in a little green oasis. The children's playground in the park is really nice, almost like a small treetop adventure course with a zip line. We spent the night here and slept very well.
Perfect during the day.
Spacious parking area, convenient for our 2.5 x 3.1 x 6.5 m motorhome, quiet and surrounded by trees. We spent a day and a night here to visit Antwerp; there were three campers on site overnight. This parking area lets you avoid entering a low-emission zone while still providing easy public-transport access to the city center.
Stopped for one night, quiet and good parking. We parked in the car parking area, of which there were quite a few, since our van is only 6 meters long. There was also a sight to see—the fort—and a playground where the children could stretch their legs before we continued.
