This shaded picnic area overlooks the sea and has picnic tables, toilets, and friendly staff. A pizzeria is directly opposite, but there are no waste bins, and wasps may be present. Overnight stays are permitted on the side, although the area is sloped, close to the road, and subject to traffic noise. Summer nights can be very hot.

Very good view and a good pizzeria opposite. Shade and picnic tables. No rubbish bins. There is a toilet and very friendly staff. Watch out for wasps, and in summer the night is very hot, although that is the same throughout the area.Translating
We spent a trouble-free night there; overnight stays are allowed on the side. Quite a lot of passing traffic and close to the road, but it avoids being in the city or on the beach upstream before the weekend in high season. We enjoyed the pizzeria opposite and the picnic tables. Several dogs and wasps visited us in the morning. No amenities.Translating
Parking along the side of a steep road used to access a picnic area. Shaded, but sloped nearly everywhere, found 1 somewhat flat place. Though you can hear road noise, it's much quieter than being in the turnout across the street: cars & motorcycles constantly accelerate loudly up a hill. Spent a quiet night, though some cars passed slowly by. Cellular 4G goes in and out: 1 to 2 out of 4 bars.
We used this as a stop over after arriving into Palermo late on the ferry. Nice shaded area with picnic benches and toilets (open in the season)
