This small gravel parking lot beside a forest fitness trail is suitable for a short stay, but not for large motorhomes. Traffic is noticeable from 5 a.m. until about 22.30, while nights can be quiet. The area has a playground, soccer field and fitness equipment, with many athletes, dog walkers and pedestrians, especially in summer. The surface has potholes and may be uneven.

A small parking area next to the fitness trail, near the city on a local road. Traffic from 5 a.m. until around 10:30 p.m.; quiet at night. We were parked quite close to the road; it may be a little quieter at the back. Good place if you are spending one or two days in Erlangen. We liked it. There is also a pleasant walk through the park, past the palace and along the pedestrian zone.
Many athletes, dog walkers, and pedestrians, even early in the morning and late in the evening, some of whom drive up by car. Too restless for an overnight stay. Suitable as a break spot while passing through, thanks to the playground and fitness equipment.
You could tolerate one night, but we were parked unevenly on a gravel lot with potholes and lots of public traffic. We only had lunch and then drove on.
We spent a quiet night. Many cars arrive in the morning; with a VW bus, you can park here very well.
Great for one night! With a dog and child it was excellent, and there was a lovely playground. The police came in the morning, but since we had not put anything up or leveled the vehicle, they said nothing. We would not stay there longer than one night, though.
Nice little parking area; it gets emptier toward evening and you can find a spot. Some athletes around. Beautiful parkland and meadow.
