Greenfield Road, HD9 3XF, Holmfirth
Been here?
A friendly pub stopover at The Huntsman Inn near Holmfirth, using the grassed overflow car park. The site has lovely views, a slight slope and generally quiet nights, although the nearby busy road can be noisy during the day. The pub serves good meals and drinks, and staff are welcoming.

First night in our new campervan after having a caravan. 20 mins away from home. It was a great stop over, we ate in the pub and the food is lovely. The staff have always been friendly. park up was in the overflow car park. Had a great night's sleep. I'd be happy staying again
Perfect place for a stop over. We missed the chance to eat, but bought drinks, staff are friendly and welcoming. Views are stunning, the park up has a slight slope so the chocks levelled that out. Definitely would stay here again.
After reading the glowing reviews, we ended up here after first hiking from the car park at Digley Reservoir, a little farther away. We checked in and it was fine to stay overnight. Beautiful terrace, cozy restaurant and good food!Translating
Easy, convenient park up with relaxed, friendly staff. Parking is in the grassed overflow car park which might be an issue in bad weather, although I wouldn’t be surprised if you would then be allowed in the main car park. Poor internet on EE & I couldn’t get on to the pub’s WiFi. Food was ok- I think frozen & then reheated rather than fresh. But still a lovely pub with great staff.
Gorgeous pub, great food and good overnight parking in our LWB camper. 5 other motorhomes/vans but plenty of space, could probably fit another couple. Very quiet. On a road with high speed traffic so not ideal for walking straight from the pub but there’s Digley reservoir a few minutes away which is a beautiful walk round.
Great spot, friendly staff and fantastic food. only minor downside if you have a dog with you is there are no footpaths from the pub itself so you have to walk down the main road a bit too get to one.
A brilliant pub stopover, excellent food reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Can be windy but hey ho you are on top of the moor. Very quiet at night.
Free parking in exchange for food and a few drinks, well worth it here. Stayed Sunday night, and the roast was too die for.
Decent food & level carpark. only downside is ots adjacent to a busy A road. Quiet enough overnight.
Great spot on the overflow car park. Nice little view. Food was spot on in the pub. Staff friendly and lovely to us and dogs. Just missing a water point to wash up.
Nice pub, friendly staff. Ok to stay overnight as long as you eat or drink. Toilets available for use all day. Sunday mornings can be noisy due to clay pigeon shooting.
Beautiful views, very welcoming hosts and very clean facilities. Access to loos until midnight and open again at 8am. Pleasant walk into town (downhill) and £7 in taxi return. Holmfirth itself has plenty of fabulous independent bars and eateries.
lovely stop, lovely food and cider. staff very friendly and welcoming and more than happy for us to stay
