Unsafe noisy area, theft risk

Three stars because there is a lot to do nearby. We went to Thermopolis. During the week, it was pleasantly quiet there in the evenings and very enjoyable. The motorhome area, on the other hand, was extremely disappointing. Extremely noisy at night and not fenced.✦Translating

We regularly use CCP sites. This one is identical to all the others in terms of design. However, it is beside a very busy road and in the middle of a small, unsecured woodland. It is the most expensive CCP site, at around €17 per night. The only advantage is that you are next to the restaurants and the zoo.✦Translating

I would like to give more, but I cannot. There is no lighting or fencing, which leads to theft. Thieves got inside our motorhome while we were sleeping at 2 a.m. It was not pleasant, and I do not think we will return.✦Translating

Noisy, broken electrical hookups, outdoor paid toilets out of service, and the pitches are occupied by one vehicle taking up two spaces because they are poorly marked. Great potential but poorly managed. What a shame.✦Translating

Good place, although we read that there had been many break-ins in February. As a precaution, we tied the front doors together from inside and put a bar across the side door. We could have started driving immediately with the key in the ignition. We had planned to honk loudly if we noticed anything. Fortunately, nothing happened.✦Translating

A very nice site close to all the attractions of the leisure complex. You can walk everywhere: aquarium, zoo, ice rink, swimming pool. We stayed four days — really great.✦Translating

The site is somewhat cramped, in the heart of the forest, so watch out for the trees when maneuvering. The pitches are flat, sometimes damp but on stable ground. Its strong point is being in the middle of the leisure facilities, restaurants, zoo, etc. However, it is a little noisy in the evening. There is only one entrance and exit.✦Translating

Pleasant but unfenced motorhome site in a small park, in a somewhat noisy location near a car park, restaurants and roads. A self-cleaning public toilet unit is next to the site; access costs €0.20. The app works very well here for paid access.✦Translating

We felt safe here. Not all pitches are usable because the ground is waterlogged. Electricity is protected by a 6-amp breaker.✦Translating

We came here regularly because the site is close to everything. Very noisy at night on weekends — shouting, screaming, street racing, etc. We never saw the police, except on the last night, from 21 to 24 February, when they patrolled around 8 p.m. We intercepted them because our motorhome had been opened the previous night and our money stolen. We heard nothing while sleeping! There have therefore been thefts here for several months.✦Translating

January 2026: Someone also tried to break into our motorhome at 2 a.m. We heard it, and my husband went to the door, which was already open, and chased away four men. The lock is now broken. Other campers who were affected were also outside. The men go from one vehicle to the next and try their luck. Scary!✦Translating

We stayed at this site to attend a concert at the Galaxie. It was full, with only three spaces available. We returned at midnight and the van was unharmed. When we got up around 8:30, we saw that we had been burgled while sleeping with our two children, even though our boxer dog was at the front. They got into almost all the motorhomes on the site. In our Ducato, they forced the driver's door handle.✦Translating

Do not come here on weekends if you want to sleep: racing cars and motorcycles, loud bass music from the local café until late at night, and roaring lions from the zoo. I did not sleep a wink.✦Translating

The location is good, a few minutes' walk from the aquarium, zoo, restaurants, cinema, etc. The spaces are not level but it is acceptable. We had not read the reviews. We stayed two nights and had no security problems or disturbances. There was quite a lot of snow, so perhaps that is why we avoided them. In any case, it was good.✦Translating

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this motorhome site. Someone tried to break into both of our motorhomes during the night. It was not just a feeling but an actual attempted break-in. The habitation-door lock on my motorhome was damaged, and they electronically opened my friend's panel van — somehow.✦Translating

Warning: during the night of 29 December 2025, a foreign motorhome traveller experienced an attempted break-in. He heard a noise near his lock, which woke him up. He immediately opened the door and two individuals fled. They used a screwdriver to break in. Otherwise, the site is great!✦Translating

Very well located for the concert hall, among other things. However, it is not secure at all. People come and go freely, and given the number of young idiots doing very noisy street racing at night when the huge car parks are empty, it is difficult to leave the vehicle unattended. We did not sleep peacefully. The site is very muddy. One electrical hookup is out of order.✦Translating

We have been here for two days and everything is fine, but at night the sounds of cars and motorcycles keep us on alert. We went to the show on the afternoon of the 19th, leaving our small dog in the motorhome, and we were not reassured. The site is open on all sides and very vulnerable in every respect.

Seems like a good place, but there are lots of possible ways in and out for people with bad intentions. Last night, 17 December, a man tried to break in and force our door at 1:30 a.m. Luckily, I am a light sleeper and woke up just in time. We drove away afterward. We will not return.

Surroundings with a wide range of leisure activities. The site is very dirty and muddy in winter. During my stay on 17 December 2025, the Belgian couple next to me was robbed.

Beautiful site, with attractive pitches separated by hedges. The ground is rather muddy because of the fallen leaves. Quiet and peaceful night. Price at the higher end of average.

Well-located site, close to many activities. The downside is that it is very noisy for much of the night, the pitches are muddy, and motorhomes were broken into during the night: locks forced and money and shoes stolen. Warning.

Perfect place for the leisure complex. The town is 2 km away and there is not much to see; it resembles a dormitory town. If you want to visit the zoo, note that it closes for several days from 1 November.

If visiting the zoo: the zoo ticket, with the zoo closing at 5:30 p.m., includes the Luminescence trail from 6 to 9 p.m., provided you do not leave the zoo at 5:30 p.m.; otherwise you have to pay for another ticket. Beautiful and pleasant site.

This is a very beautiful, well-shaded place. The only drawback is the arrangement of the electrical hookups: when the site is full, you need extension cables tens of metres long to connect. Once the good pitches are taken, only muddy, uneven spaces remain. So €16.70 is expensive just for filling up with water and emptying tanks. Next time we will arrive earlier.

Good site with the necessary facilities. €16 for one night for a motorhome with two people. A Camperpark card is required. Opposite the zoo. Lots of shade. We slept well here.
