Free roadside parking, fills quickly

Parked on a Tuesday for around 3 hours and were absolutely fine. There seems to be two bits of free parking along this road. The sat nav brought us to the first section then there is the bit further on which is shown in the photo. We parked in the first section. We were in a 7.5m van and were able to park no problem. Although when we got back to the van there were no available spaces.

Perfect for free parking close to the city; within 15 minutes you are at Brygga.

We left our van along the road in these spaces. Nothing indicates that it is paid parking. The centre is a 15-minute walk away. Perfect for visiting the city.

There are only a few spots in this area, and they fill up quickly in the morning, so it is better to arrive very early to find a spot. There are also only about two suitable spaces for long motorhomes because they are all very short and narrow.

Great free place to stay during a visit to bergen

Difficult parking with few spaces; go around the street. Paid parking, maximum 3 hours, with spaces for large motorhomes. You have to download an app to pay for parking.

Perfect daytime parking for visiting Bergen. We parked there for free and walked into town.
