Been here?
Camping Barleber See is a lakeside campsite with spacious grassy pitches, a beach and swimming in the lake. Recent stays found the sanitary facilities clean and functional, while other comments report poor cleanliness and unhelpful reception. A restaurant-bar and fresh bakery items are available, and the motorway can be clearly heard, especially at night. Opening hours are 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m.; departure is by 11:00 a.m., with no driving from 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The lake is lovely and swimming, beach and cosy spots around the lake as well. The shower and toilet were clean and functional. We missed a bit of atmosphere here even though everything was fine
Excellent in every respect, see Google…
Nice place. Beatiful lake
Great campsite, we were allowed to choose our own spot, nicely under the trees in the shade. Fantastic lake for swimming; you have to enter via the campsite entrance, otherwise you have to pay. Fresh rolls were available at reception in the morning. When paying, it turned out they did not accept my Rabo card; she said they did not accept Dutch Maestro cards in Germany, which is of course nonsense. Cash payment was possible. The showers were a bit inconvenient because everything got wet, but it was manageable.
Unfriendly reception staff. If you bring a pet, they confine you in an enclosure, and the motorway sounds as if it were right next to you, especially at night. I definitely will not return.
Positive: Grass area and free choice of space. Negative: Sanitary facilities moldy and dirty; they urgently need replacing. Friendliness could be much better. Access to the beach resort must be paid for separately (€6/day). The beach resort and campsite do not belong together! We will not return. €30 per night for 2 people in a motorhome.
Very quiet campsite by the lake, clean facilities, restaurant-bar. Expect to pay €42 per night for 2 adults and 2 children with a van, including lake access.
Service was available in English and was good and friendly. The site was clean, as was the service building. Outside the site there was an industrial area, and there was construction work on the shore. We cycled to Magdeburg city center; the route was somewhat long and difficult. You could also have taken the tram to the center from fairly nearby (1.5 km).
We had a quiet and pleasant stay. The facilities and pitch are in very good condition. We would be happy to return.
We were here first on June 21, then on our return journey around July 14. We really liked the campsite; showers and electricity are included in the price, while washing and drying cost extra, so bring plenty of 50-cent coins! The small restaurant had freshly baked pastries in the morning and freshly cooked food in the afternoon and evening. There are no marked pitches; you can park wherever there is space. Guests with dogs have a separately fenced area.
This campsite is actually indescribable. Its unfriendliness toward dogs and their owners is hard to beat. You are locked into a fenced area between rubbish bins and the disposal facilities, which was already full with 6 campers but is intended for 12. The lake is closed off, and the motorway provides constant noise. We booked 2 days but left after 1 day without a refund.
The site is very beautiful and spacious. Electricity costs €1 and the shower is free. Unfortunately, the operator tolerates camper groups that blast loud music across the site all day and until 5 a.m. Complaints did not help either. A new restaurant can only be reached through the fenced-off beach area, with a €2 entrance fee. We will not return.
We only stopped here to use the disposal facilities. The disposal area is very clean, like the rest of the site. Since nobody was on site and no tip box was visible, the whole thing was free. I would have liked to leave something if there had been a way to do so.
We were here over Ascension weekend. There is no access to the lake (a kilometer-long construction fence), and the “beach” is a huge construction site… Okay, the campsite cannot do anything about that. Unfortunately, dog owners are still locked behind a fence between construction and rubbish containers. The sanitary facilities are outdated and grubby, with only one washing-up sink for the entire site…
? The campsite is closed..... Sign at the gate!
The campsite has a great location near the Mittelland Canal, the Elbe, the waterway junction, the lock, and the ship lift. The lake and beach are being renovated by the city of Magdeburg, which makes it inviting to linger. IMPORTANT!!! In 2024, the dog policy was changed. Dogs are welcome throughout the entire campsite!!!!
