Ayvaköy İç Yolu, 16110, Nilüfer
Been here?
A small picnic area with space for two vehicles, near beautiful caves and a river. Hiking is possible, but the climb to the cave is quite steep and unsuitable for children. A bar and fruit and vegetable sellers are nearby, and local inhabitants are generally welcoming, although one encounter near the river was hostile.

Awesome caves. People are really welcoming in the town, especially the gentleman with the house by the parking lot. He also owns the chai shop by the entrance. Might be a good idea and respectful to park in the parking lot and not close down the entrance to the picnic area with 2 campers like in the above picture. Local tourists do come to visit the cave every day so keep that in mind.
We briefly went down to the river to observe the frogs there and were shouted at in Turkish by a man who passed by. We don't know what he said, but he was very upset. The positive thing is that it is really pleasantly cool there at this time of year. We drove away again immediately because we didn't want to disturb anyone.
This place is incredible! There is a magnificent cave with an underground river that can be seen from the parking area. Be careful, the climb to the cave is quite steep and it is not possible to go there with children. The water is not very cold, so it is easy to walk up the river. Access is currently under construction but remains accessible even to large vehicles.
