Bird-reserve area, unreliable electricity

Large asphalted lot. Public toilets are at the entrance to the nature reserve. You receive an access code for the shower and toilet at the other parking area at the harbor, over 10 minutes away by bicycle.

I hate the advance reservation system. The parking lot is half empty when you arrive, but reservations mean it is actually full. What a shame. We had to leave and look elsewhere, risking the same problem because nothing is provided for traveling visitors unfamiliar with the country's apps.

Functional site. The electricity supply worked perfectly. Only the water collection is somewhat awkward. The water cannot be regulated, so it keeps running even when it is no longer being used. A more convenient way to hang the hose for fresh water would be nice.

The surroundings are very natural and beautiful. We paid for the night plus electricity, but the electricity did not work at any of the posts, except one that was already occupied. No one answers the phone. We sent an email to the municipality but still have no response.

Warning: The information at the entrance to the motorhome site is incorrect. I called the municipality for help. No answer at the phone number shown at the entrance. They did not call back despite several attempts. I was unable to get relevant help obtaining electricity from the paid electrical outlet, despite several calls to the municipality. Compensation for the site fee was denied. There are many pleasant motorhome sites, so I can do without this one.

Excellent place to stay. Within walking distance of various shops. Naturum is fun for children. Checking in and paying with the QR code worked quickly; the access code was sent by SMS. Everything needed is available. The toilet did not look fresh; we are used to better in Sweden. It is a shame that you cannot monitor your electricity consumption anywhere. Payment is per kWh at check-in. Topping up is possible.

Calling all birders! What a great birding sanctuary. Several bird hides to explore and a first class visitors center and cafe. We paid 220 which included electricity. Very clean and pleasant and a nice water fill and waste dump site.

Level asphalt lot without charm for all campers, very noisy due to the nearby road, train, and sports airfield. 300 SEK plus 3 SEK/kWh for electricity is too expensive.

Pretty spot, clean modern facilities, next to the magnificent bird park; great walks to do on foot or by bicycle.

Asphalt parking lot without charm. Very noisy due to the nearby road. Lots of traffic in the neighboring parking lot and around the service area. Water tap on a hose about 50 cm long. No way to extend the hose. Too expensive for that.

We had read the comments from previous visitors and booked online through the website. You are able to do this up to 2weeks before your stay. They will then send you a code for the barrier. The parking area is just like a car park with marked bays but handy for Getterön nature reserve which was excellent. The fresh water tap is difficult to use as it did not have a standard connector.

You must book a space via Varberg.se. Once you book and pay, a numerical code is sent to you, which is used to open the barrier. The code is entered on the post to which the barrier is attached.

I tried the QR code: the application was down. I tried the website shown on the sign: the application was inaccessible. So I am leaving for the campsite.

thanks to the lovely people leaving comments I booked through the website. There are 6 other vans here, only one of which could access the site. We then had to help everyone else use the website to make a booking and get in. Place is great for the Nature reserve and a walk to town.

The check-in procedure is an absolute disaster. The instructions at the entrance are incorrect. If you want to get in here, you have to Google Varberg Municipality/motorhome site Naturum and then search further from there.

We did not manage to check in with the QR code because it leads into internet nirvana. The municipality needs to work on this again! But the adjacent bird sanctuary has been completely renovated with an information park and playground. Great lookout tower. Binoculars are available to try in the building—we observed a white-tailed eagle. Amazing!

Could not get in. Misleading instructions. One motorhome had managed to get in.

Not even a level asphalt lot, not inviting. Waste disposal and supply facilities are available and usable. It is noisy because of the road and construction site. Departure is by 12:00 the following day, regardless of arrival time. Far too expensive for that!

Parking area entrance via barrier. Some difficulty getting in, but it worked using the QR code. Space with electricity for 300 Swedish kronor. You must leave before 12 the next day.

Not a particularly beautiful place, as it is directly beside a road and can be quite noisy. There is only a public toilet at the beginning of the park, which you have to use. No other facilities. Fine for one night at the price; otherwise I probably would not come again.

Excellent facility. Very clean. Excellent security. Fabulous cycle roots.

Well-equipped area with spacious pitches; the payment method and access are not straightforward. Adjacent to the beautiful nature reserve, which is worth visiting. During our overnight stay, unexpectedly strong winds arose at night; secure any bicycles or covers well.

Would recommend. We only stopped to visit the nature reserve, which is free for 6 hours; we also used the black-water emptying facility, which is also free.

Calm place, beautiful sea bay view, paradise for ornitologist (points of bird watching), near road but not so loud at night (somethimes you can hear trains from far). Large space, toilet, part for campers is paid, part of parking for cars not payment (but I was out of season - April). Sign shows info that parking is only for 6 hours (6 tim).
