20 Rue du Tremblant, 21270, Maxilly-sur-Saône
Been here?
A quiet waterside parking place beside the Saône and the blue cycle path, reached by a narrow road and a 1 km gravel track. Nights are usually peaceful, while boats and lock activity bring movement and ringing during the day. There are no services, and the access may not suit very large vehicles. One recent visit ended after an assault by a drunk cyclist.

Quiet place beside the Saône and the Blue Route for cycling enthusiasts. We spent two peaceful nights.
It is really a great, quiet place. Unfortunately, we could not spend the night because we were attacked by a drunk man who passed by on a bicycle, even though we had not seen anyone during the previous three hours! It is a real shame, so we ended up at the motorhome parking area in the village to feel safer.
Very quiet place by the water, with a frog concert at night—perfect.
There is a lot of traffic on the canal during the day, so the bell often rings when the lock is to be opened. Absolute peace at night. Access is via a narrow road, possibly unsuitable for very large vehicles. Overall, a very relaxing place. Thank you.
I arrived here as Plan B after a failed attempt. An absolutely amazing evening, a blazing sky, complete peace, and crickets singing as if in the south. A gem!
Perfect for the night. Not many people around here. Access is via a gravel track for 1 km. Peace and quiet guaranteed.
