Museum closed in 2026. You can walk the 7 km round trip through the forest to the memorial sites, but not with a dog. It is just forest. In my opinion, it is not worth the detour when traveling from Warsaw to Lithuania. We had already visited Birkenau, Bełżec, and Majdanek. I did not think Treblinka was well designed for visitors.
A good sized carpark to visit the memorial Museum. Staff are helpful and accommodating. toilets and small bins available. The memorial is set over 16 hectares so it's a lot of walking. download the apps advertised by the information desk to hear the audio.
There is now a barrier at the entrance. Access is only during opening hours. Overnight stays are no longer possible!
