Unnamed Road, 85050, Grumento Nova
Been here?
This is a secluded lakeside wild spot with beautiful views of the lake and mountains, suitable for a peaceful overnight stop. Most of the ground is sloping, with only limited level space, and the final approach includes a narrow road, low branches and a gravel section. The asphalt ends before the gravel road, and muddy conditions can make access difficult. There are no services.

We had a wonderfully peaceful night here. Our dog could run free and the surroundings are beautiful. We were completely alone here and there were no wild dogs either, as someone had previously mentioned. The asphalt road ends at the far end, so the gravel road is considerably lower. You cannot get over it with a low camper. We were parked a little crooked, but slept perfectly.
Beautiful view. Unfortunately, I arrived on a rainy day and did not want to risk getting stuck there in the mud. The only drawback was that I could not stay overnight because of the presence of huge dogs—I do not want them fighting with mine. If you are without a dog, you can go there without worry. Save the map offline; otherwise the navigator always gets it wrong. —MariaESally
An impressive and peaceful place, with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Unfortunately, there are hardly any level spots. The Carabinieri seem to come by regularly. I was there for no more than an hour to film, and they were already there. But everything was perfectly fine.
Beautiful place for a stop or a free overnight stay. Narrow road, but there is room to maneuver at the end of the road.
Undisturbed night and an incredible view when waking up. Most of the site slopes, but if you turn right at the top you can also reach a level area. The police came by in the morning, but everything was fine. The lake is muddy, but you can swim in the clear river flowing into it if you feel like it!
Very quiet, deserted place. Great for spending the night. Some locals came by and greeted us kindly. At the end of the asphalt road there is a slightly deeper dip. With our T5 it was easy to manage. The lake is very muddy, so it is not necessarily suitable for swimming, depending on how sensitive you are. Very beautiful place; we were completely alone.
View of the surreal colors of Lake Pertusillo. I do not recommend sleeping here because it is very sloped. If you do not consider sleeping with a view of the lake essential, you will find a convenient alternative at the Maglie forest picnic area, 5 minutes away.
Quiet, secluded. Not level and rather dirty. Swimming is prohibited and, honestly, I do not recommend it. The location is good for one night or a quiet break. No services. Two beautiful villages face each other nearby.
The views are beautiful, but unfortunately the place is very, very uneven.
