Better to approach from the north (Vejer de la Frontera), 400 m from the paved road. The site has been badly affected by the large amount of rain. Spending the night is possible, but WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS. The San Ambrosio ruins are heavily overgrown. Leave the place IMMEDIATELY during heavy rain—it turns into a swamp.✦Translating

I don’t know how this place received such good reviews. I strongly advise against spending the night here. It’s an open area visible from the main road, which, as mentioned, is full of potholes for 3 km, damaging suspension systems. Cars constantly drive past at high speed, raising clouds of dust. It isn’t a safe place to sleep, completely dark and exposed to everyone’s view.✦Translating

The road is not dramatic at all. However, the road is much busier than expected. In the morning, a herd of cows and a farmer visited us. He was very pleased to see us and said we could sleep there without any problems.✦Translating
