This flat forest parking area beside the Hungerplatz Inn is a calm overnight spot surrounded by trees. Two ruined castles are reachable on foot, with many hiking routes and views across the Rhine valley. The area is often busier during the day, while nights can be very quiet. Numerous vehicle break-ins with broken windows have been reported, so caution is advised.

Perfect, empty in the middle of June. We enjoyed this peaceful place. However, during periods of heavy use it must be much more crowded.Translating

A night among the trees, in total silence; perfect for those who like isolation. Two beautiful castles in ruins to visit and lovely hikes to do. Level parking. The place itself was very quiet, and we had no problem staying at the edge of the parking area with our motorhome for one night. However, many hikers are out and about early in the morning; otherwise everything was great. The castles are easily reachable on foot, and it is a beautiful area! There is also an extra sign advising hikers to take their valuables with them.Translating
