12 Stadthallenweg, 35315, Homberg (Ohm)
Been here?
Free motorhome area behind the town hall on a paved parking area, generally quiet and offering views over the Mühltal valley and the Ohm river. Public toilets are clean and open around the clock, while fresh water costs 1€ and wastewater disposal is available. Electricity exists but access is limited to 4 connections; free e-bike charging and electric-car charging are also available. The site is well placed for walking, with the village, bakery and shops reachable on foot, though some spaces slope and may need levelling blocks.

Very useful services, too rare since we have been in Germany: €1 for water, and we were also able to empty our wastewater. Electricity is available too. Toilets freely accessible. Pretty village and quiet parking area under the trees. Thank you to the municipality for this welcome! We will find the bakery tomorrow morning to buy something in the village!Translating
Perfect for an overnight stop and a short walk if you have time. Quiet and practical; the available public toilets are clean. We saw the free Wi-Fi notice when leaving, so we did not test it.Translating
Super charming town. Lots of beautiful old houses. The site is quiet and peaceful. Nice, well-maintained toilets. Definitely an excellent place to spend the night. Water and disposal are right next to the parking area.Translating
Relaxed motorhome site, full at the beginning of July, probably because it is very well located for travelers passing through. Public toilets, disposal facilities, and seating are available. It also seems to be a very good starting point for hikes.Translating
Great place! We spent a wonderfully quiet night here while passing through. The toilets were clean, and there are many pitches, though they are not completely level, so we used leveling blocks. Thanks to the municipality for this wonderful place!Translating
Peaceful, with birds singing, and the village is lovely! Ideal for a stopover!Translating
Fine conditions. Water and toilets are easily accessible.Translating
Quiet, clean, illuminated, and free site. The toilets are open around the clock and are clean. The site is paved but slopes, so leveling blocks are very useful. The site is well frequented; access to electricity is limited to four connections. Thanks to the municipality for this site.Translating
Very nice place. Quiet, hikes possible directly from there, disposal and fresh water, a free bicycle charging station, clean toilets, and a beautiful view. Simply a lovely place. Please leave it clean so it stays that way.Translating
Good place for the night. Quiet. Enjoyable walk in the valley. Bakery in the town (10 mins walk). Thank you to the Municipality for this service.
Quiet motorhome stop with service facilities; toilet in the town hall open 24/7. Spaces large enough. Nice hiking trails start right from the site. Shops are within walking distance. Thank you to the municipality for the free stop.Translating
Many thanks to the town for this motorhome stop. We spent a quiet night and had a delicious meal at the Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, we found out too late about the concert at the castle. Perhaps a small notice at the stop? Then surely a few guests would come along.Translating
The site was busy; the motorhomes also used the other parking spaces without any problems. The town is small, pleasant, and sleepy.Translating
Very nice, quiet site and beautiful scenery. We will definitely come again.Translating
One of our favorite places because the surroundings are so worth seeing, because there are service facilities and rubbish bins, because we met some very nice people, and because the sunset is so beautiful. And all of this, except electricity, is free. Thanks to the town and its residents. Heart emojiTranslating
The six designated motorhome spaces were already occupied when we arrived. After asking at the town hall, we were allowed to spend the night in the rest of the parking area as well. More motorhomes arrived during the evening. Many thanks to the municipality for the free stop. Cassette emptying, toilets, and rubbish bins are also available free of charge.Translating
Quiet, illuminated site with all the advertised services. The town deserves great praise for providing such a place. Thank you very much.Translating
water terminal is not working. It takes money but doesn't give any water.
We spent a very quiet night here. Many thanks to the municipality for providing this motorhome stop.Translating
We stayed for three days, looked at everything, did the 9 km hike, and visited the castle. Ate well. Thanks for the free site.Translating
€1 is enough for 100 liters. Unfortunately, you cannot rinse the cassette. Grey water can only be drained with a hose. Very narrow spaces, unless you get the first one.Translating
A motorhome stop with a great view. The service facilities are okay; the public toilets could use a makeover. The night was very quiet. A walk through the town and around the castle is highly recommended. You should not arrive too late, because despite it being a weekday and outside the holidays, all spaces were occupied in the evening.Translating
Excellent! Quiet, almost level, easy to reach, and the public toilets are open and clean. Waste disposal and fresh water are free—many thanks to the town!
The site lives up to its promise. Thanks to the municipality. We spent one night there while passing through. During peak times, you should be self-sufficient so you can do without electricity. When we arrived, all spaces were occupied and two more vans were parked beside them. This is not a problem, as there is enough space throughout the parking area.
Perfect for one or two stops. The parking area is peaceful and has a lovely view over the meadow/valley and the charming old town, with some shops and places to eat. Electricity can be purchased for four campers, and there is grey-water disposal. There are also clean, pleasant public toilets. Thanks to the municipality for everything! A small appeal: some people use their own chairs and so on. Stop it! It is disrespectful—there are benches here!
Very nice, quiet site. Attention: access from Stadthallenweg is impossible because it is blocked by large stones. Coming from the center or north, drive down Frankfurter Straße, then turn right down the one-way street Am tiefen Hain and turn right after 100 m. Alternatively, coming from the east, turn left at the bend in Frankfurter Straße and cross Am tiefen Hain.
A beautiful free viewpoint; the electricity works and the heated toilets were open—what more could you want? All of this is provided free of charge; 50 cents per kilowatt-hour is fair. Thanks to the municipality!
i just emptied my grey and black water... after a bit the clean water stopped running, luckily I had already cleaned the black water canister. bathroom were quite dirty but ok-ish since is for free. Was winter and snowy on Saturday morning and was quite full so I imagine in high season you might not find space
The site is quiet and offers an excellent view. Hiking is possible directly from the stop.
We spent one night here while passing through, together with four other campers. The night was very quiet, and the toilet was even open on the public holiday. The spaces are slightly sloped, but leveling blocks are not necessary. All in all, highly recommended!
We stayed here on the way to the Black Forest. The parking bays are very spacious. The toilets are functional and adequate. We did not use the electricity or disposal facilities. It was very quiet throughout the night. There is a wonderful view across the countryside. We will definitely visit this place again. Many thanks to the town for this lovely site.
First, for dog and pet owners: there is a warning sign about processionary caterpillars at the site, so be careful during the season. The site is clean; leveling blocks are useful because it slopes in two directions. The service facilities are restricted by large stones, so it could be tight for longer vehicles.
Thanks to the town of Homberg for this site. Hainmühle restaurant is 400 m away—an adventurous walk at night—and its Hessian cuisine is highly recommended.
Great quiet site with a view and a toilet.
We spent a very quiet night here while passing through. Many thanks to the municipality for this free option! The toilets are open continuously, and grey-water disposal is also possible.
We were here on November 6, 2025. There was also a space for our trailer. The service station is okay. Thanks to the municipality!
We have just spent a very pleasant evening here. The site is quiet with a beautiful view. We did not use the services. We took a lovely walk through the town. There is a path through gardens that allows you to walk a loop around the charming village. And above all, there is an excellent Chinese takeaway shop. Very good value for money—excellent!
