Picnic area, access blocked

Restaurant closed. On weekends, the lower marked area is particularly busy; up here it is quieter, although many locals were also there for a picnic. We crossed the bridge and then drove immediately left into a wooded cove. We had a very peaceful, shady night. You can reach the water too, but it is steep and not very deep.✦Translating

Good food with a magnificent view of Lake Chiemsee from the terrace—that earns two stars. However, the pitches are only car-width, and the slope may possibly be leveled with chocks. Cars and tractors passing nearby and quickly add to the all-day noise from the cowbells.
