1 Via dei Consoli, 17055, Toirano
Been here?
Small gravel parking area beside a stream and trees, with approximately 20 spaces and the village a 1 minute walk away. Access is by asphalt road, but a bridge limits width to 2.10 meters. There are no services, and church bells begin at 8. The area is generally quiet at night, although nearby traffic can be busy.

After a very short unpaved descent (30 m?), an excellent, quiet car park. If you are lucky, two vehicles can fit under the tree in the shade. The bells start at 8, but only once an hour. Toirano is a village with medieval traces and a richly frescoed church. It is definitely worth visiting, together with the fascinating Toirano Caves. Book the caves in advance; visits are only in organized groups.Translating
Beware! Only for small vans or motorhomes. You have to cross a bridge that is a maximum of 2.10 m wide. Our motorhome is 2.3 m wide and 7.5 m long. We had to reverse on EVERY approach road because there were hardly any turning opportunities and the roads were very narrow. Even experienced drivers cannot get through with large motorhomes.Translating
Okay for one night. It smelled of manure all night. The next day we found a manure spring in the middle of the car park, flooding the parking area, including with a dead rat.Translating
Okay for one night. There was heavy traffic on the adjacent road until 11 p.m. and from 7 a.m. The site is mainly used for parking by locals, but we were able to park right in the corner. Access was no problem with a 7 m camper.Translating
Great place, with many locals parking their cars there in the evening, but it is very quiet at night. Pleasant spot right by a river. Highly recommended!Translating
Peaceful and beautiful place. We parked the motorhome there without difficulty despite a somewhat narrow entrance. For those who like to sleep late: be careful, you will be right under the bell tower, which starts ringing at 8 a.m.Translating
Fantastic for spending a night while passing through. There are no services, but it is right in the village, with facilities and a bar for breakfast!Translating
Beautiful area, but we could not stay because parking is prohibited from 3 to 6 August 2023.Translating
Impossible to get down to the car park with a motorhome.Translating
Superb, authentic little medieval village. Pleasant walk. Quiet between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., when the first bells ring. Room for our large 7.5 m motorhome without any problem. Come from Toirano to avoid the narrow roads.Translating
As a camper, and a resident of Toirano, I invite you not to leave rubbish or dump water, otherwise they will impose restrictions. I recommend an excellent pizzeria 400 m away, Toula', or Il Portico in the village's central square. Rosa dei Venti restaurant is also good, with reasonable prices.Translating
Poorly suited to longer motorhomes—we would have bottomed out with our 7 m motorhome plus bike rack on the way down.Translating
