Basically a place to spend the night. It is quiet at night, even though it is right next to a road where traffic decreases considerably later on. However, you sleep beneath a huge mobile-phone antenna, in case that bothers anyone.
Excellent location… 100% approved. Plenty of space for many motorhomes and for spending a quiet night.
Very quiet parking area, easily accessible. I think about ten motorhomes could fit. Great for walking the dog.
It has the merit of existing at the tip. Note that another parking area indicated by the municipality is located a little farther along the road toward the Cap.
Free, authorized, and level. Free 4G+.
Convenient because it is a 20-minute walk from the village of L’Herbe, but there is a lot of noise from passing cars, even at night.
We did not sleep there. Not far from L’Herbe on foot, so perfect in terms of distance. Thanks for allowing motorhomes there, although there is not much space.
We spent one night at this authorized area. Nothing extraordinary: no view, no facilities, close to the road, but it is free and level, which is already pretty good!
We spent one quiet night in this parking area. The road running alongside it does not disturb the peace at all. Free motorhome space. No problem for long vehicles!
Quite a lot of traffic on the road right next to it, so it is fairly noisy, but since it is one of the only authorized places in the area, it is very useful. Water point accessible at the back of the parking area, in the cemetery.
Very good for discovering the oyster-farming villages and the tip by bicycle. Quiet night and good neighbors?
Quiet night and sunshine when we woke up. The place is all the more valuable because there are not that many around here… what a shame!
Level, paved parking area with plenty of space. Let’s not forget that it is free and authorized!
One of the few places authorized for overnight stays on Cap Ferret. Quite quiet despite the road; two hedges protect against the noise.
The site is large enough for big motorhomes, and at the back there is also plenty of room for smaller ones under 2.20 m high. The site was clean when we visited. The bin was overflowing because one camper had disposed of a lot of waste. I put a large empty bag next to it and transferred the excess rubbish. Voilà, life can be so simple.
We spent a quiet night despite the nearby road, separated by the cycle path and pine trees. Much quieter than the area a few kilometers farther down, where people park carelessly and behave disrespectfully.
We did not sleep at this location, but parked there to cycle to the village of L’Herbe, 5–10 minutes away via the cycle paths. Some spaces benefit from the shade of the trees, and the location seems peaceful beside the cemetery, although it is also next to the road.
Nothing free, which is a shame.
Parking area close to the beach. It was quiet and felt safe.
Convenient spot for visiting the village of L’Herbe. The ocean is not far away either. Quiet and free.
We parked there only to walk around the village of L’Herbe. You are 1 km from the chapel and 1.5 km from the village. There is a cycle and pedestrian path to get there.
Spent one night in a van. There were two motorhomes and another van. Quiet, with the road 50 m away and separated by pine trees. And since it is next to a cemetery, no problems with the neighbors lol. I recommend it.
Parking next to the cemetery, no services except a bin. Cycle paths. We spent two nights there. Impeccable. Open all year. No barriers.
Rather quiet spot, not far from the road and next to the cemetery and a high-voltage power line. Generally calm except in the morning, when traffic is heavy. Accessible to vans and motorhomes, with spaces for about six vehicles.
