This sloping departure car park has beautiful views, picnic tables and access to walks in the forest park. Overnight parking is currently not allowed, and daytime entry costs £5. The approach is very steep with two tight switchbacks, although a 7m motorhome has reached it; toilets are available at the visitor centre.

The lady in the toll booth said “no parking overnight,” so £5 is for daytime parking only.
Nice spot if you want to hike or mountain bike. Peaceful evening. Sloped parking but it’s manageable without levelers. Drive up in our 6m van was fine. Good phone signal. Toilets at the visitor center as you enter the park.
Absolutely beautiful, we had the place to ourselves (3rd June). 1 night in blissful silence. Picnic benches/BBQs but no bins? Little sloped, not too bad for 1 night. Breathtaking views from the hikes. Very steep road up with 2 very tight switchbacks (butt clenching!) but doable. Wouldn’t do in anything bigger than Renault Master. 1 tight bend on the way down. Toll booth closed so paid nothing
Not for motorhomes! You have to pay €7, and the area is not particularly beautiful compared with the other nearby spots, which are free and easy to access.
Didn’t stay overnight, but visited during the day; it was still £5 to enter. We took a 7-meter motorhome up there with no issues; all parking is sloped. I wished I could have stayed for the night.
Very handy for walks up to Big Stone and Kodak Corner. Locals all so very friendly. Picnic benches maybe the only amenity - it's just parking. £5 to enter the forest park in the van.
Enjoyed my night here. Sloping parking spots. Amazing view. Mountain river for a was too. Easy access to long or short hikes. Busy enough spot in April. Very steep ascent. Great spot
