Riverside grass, steep access

We spent a quiet night in nature by the river. Great as a stop if you are self-sufficient. Also good with a dog.

Full sun. After the bridge, beside the small grey electrical box, the descent to the canal is very steep, sharp, and narrow. Inexperienced drivers should take a second look. The access road ends at a gravel/sand turning area. Then there is a very bumpy grassy area with various tracks. Easy to drive on in sunshine, muddy in rain. Road noise. Dogs barking from the houses. No benches or rubbish bins. Okay for one night.

Located right by a bridge with quite a lot of traffic, including at night. Good for one night. There is some rubbish on the ground in the gravel. Not exactly the most beautiful camping spot, but good for an overnight stay if you can tolerate traffic noise. I only slept there to continue driving the next day.

When you drive in, there is a large area where several big campers should fit; another camper was parked there. To the right, a forest road leads to two or three nicer spots where we also stayed overnight, but you should have four-wheel drive for those, especially when it is wet. We arrived around 8–9 p.m. and, apart from the other camper, saw nobody there, so it was excellent for peace and quiet.

Quiet place on the Sambre, with mosquitoes and plenty of space. Located by a bridge with occasional car traffic. It is audible but did not bother us. In the background you can hear noise from a factory. We were not bothered by it and slept well with the windows open.

The place is infested with mosquitoes, and the canal water is very dirty. If you have dogs, keep going; the site is a playground for ticks. Rubbish on the ground. In short, not great.

Beautiful place to stay by the canal, with a campfire area, level grass, lots of space, and suitable for large campers. We had a wonderful overnight stay.

Nice fishing spot beside the water. Under a bridge where cars regularly pass, but it still feels like being in the middle of nature. Water, lots of birds, ducklings, and greenery. Near a village with a good bakery, Chez Marco.

Lots of trash in one corner, but place was quiet and felt quite safe. one of us had 4g, the other didn't

Fully accessible with a large vehicle (8.7 m × 2.5 m × 3.4 m). Quiet, with not many cars crossing the bridge. The only real drawback is the rubbish at the entrance to the spot (bins, glass bottles, and even a piece of furniture!).

Rather pleasant place with a lovely setting. When we arrived, there were already three or four vans, and we had to park not far from the bridge, so it was quite noisy, even at night. Rubbish present.

Nice spot, fairly busy at the moment. Some rubbish at the entrance, but the rest of the surroundings are good.

Perfect for spending the night, surrounded by greenery with the river beside it.

Difficult access for large motorhomes because there is a lot of vegetation that can scratch the bodywork and solar panel.

Very hidden access, but easy to drive. Very quiet; cars occasionally pass over the bridge above. It was wet, so I stayed on the paved surface. In dry weather, you can drive right down to the water. Recommended spot.
