Quiet area, tight spaces

Had a fantastic night for free . So quite overnight and no homeless people as someone complained about. All friendly. Only litter was from a bin bag that had come out of its frame and that was cleaned up before 8 next morning. All the official spaces occupied plus a few more on the car spaces. Would use again no problem but we don't drive a large van as no need only 2 of us.

Dirty, littered, and too few spaces for larger motorhomes. What a shame! The location is good and Schwäbisch Hall is such a charming town. The city council should take action.✦Translating

I cannot share both negative comments. A good free place for visiting the city. Slightly busier in the evening, very quiet at night. Spaces are not marked. If that does not suit you, you can go to the campsite. One point deducted because the city could at least mow the grass, now over a metre high, around the entire car park. An important car park for the people of Schwäbisch Hall, where it is not desired that it be completely occupied by motorhomes.✦Translating

This is also a storage area for homeless people. Four dilapidated vans are parked around us. Their occupants have spread throughout the service area. The adjacent small woodland is covered with piles of excrement. Simply disgusting. The vehicles are much too close together. A catastrophe in terms of fire safety. Close the place. Great little stop. We stayed one night. There were already a few vans here, but as someone already said, there is plenty of space in the other car park spaces. We did not use electricity, but neither did anyone else. Nice and quiet, and a good location.✦Translating

Great free quiet place to spent the night. Services working and a nice visit to the city. Busy and spaces filled up quickly, others who arrived later used the adjacent car park to sleep overnight.

The site is as described. At weekends there is a club and a pub with various events almost directly behind the site. I was there on Saturday and drew the short straw. Several very drunk people were out at night. I kept waking up. Overall it was bearable, as they were on their way to the club or home.✦Translating

Great offer from the city. Electricity and service facilities are available, as is shopping within walking distance. You can reach the city in 10 minutes via a beautiful path along the Kocher. The site is very quiet.✦Translating

As often before, we stayed here comfortably and peacefully. The site is perfect for visiting the city or taking a walk. The service facilities are easily accessible 24/7. A small note because of the many misunderstandings: this is a free municipal motorhome stop, for which we are very grateful. Anyone looking for a five-star campsite should go to one.✦Translating

The site looked neglected, with a lot of rubbish lying around. The official spaces were already full. Foreign vans with many people were constantly coming and going; they had met there and made a lot of noise.✦Translating

Nice car park near the river. The small road beside the river can be followed to the nearby town centre, which is nothing short of wonderful. I did not see the hose for filling with drinking water. We did not need electricity, but it was available in the suitable motorhome spaces. The grey-water drain has an automatic cleaning system. Thanks for creating these spaces.✦Translating

We were only here during the day. Realistically, there is room for 7–8 campers, depending on how closely they park. Free, good for exploring the beautiful old town, with electricity and water available. The surroundings are so-so, directly beside a car park.✦Translating

Unfortunately already overcrowded by 3 p.m., and the rather carelessly laid-out site does not exactly suggest that motorhomes are welcome. The beautiful old town makes up for it, though. Tip for Thursdays: cocktail day at fair prices at Ilge restaurant at the foot of the Hangman's Bridge, with a terrace view of the Kocher from the upper floor.✦Translating

If fellow campers park carelessly or, in their camping enthusiasm, put out awnings and chairs, there is no way nine motorhomes will fit. We spent one night in the car park, which was not a problem either. The route into the old town always follows the Kocher, is worth seeing, and then the next day you can continue.✦Translating

Good free stopping area inside a car park with 8–9 motorhome spaces. Near a cycle and pedestrian path leading to the centre, reachable on foot in 15 minutes. Motorhome service area easily accessible and free for grey- and black-water disposal. Water filling is paid, but it does not work and refunds the money (€1 for 100 litres). Electricity: €0.50 per kWh.

Difficult to park because cars block the roads. The route into town partly follows the Kocher. The old town is very pretty, and the Würth Kunsthalle is well worth visiting. Those who like more art can drive to the second Würth Kunsthalle in Künzelsau. You can sleep there for one night in the car park.

In a secluded but busy area with cars and buses, with some clean motorhome spaces. We did not stay, only emptied and filled up. It is in a car park with a great many cars.

We were here at Whitsun. Although you stand relatively close together, everything you need is available: water, electricity, and disposal. If all nine spaces are occupied, you can also park in the car park in front; apparently this is tolerated. It was quiet at night. Rewe is five minutes away on foot, with a toilet. Good and free place.

The site itself is good and the service facilities are excellent. It is also close to the city. However, on Saturday night a youth group partied until 6 a.m.

Excellent motorhome stop with filling, disposal, and electricity, free of charge. What more could I say?

Everything was really fine. We felt very comfortable. The number of spaces, 8–9, varies depending on the motorhome owners' selfishness. I posted a photo showing three vehicles where, with a little consideration, four could easily fit.

Three stars for the location on the Kocher, proximity to the old town, the service facilities, and the fact that you can spend a night in the normal car spaces when the motorhome spaces are full. But the site is also used by transients, and unfortunately it shows. Six people in one van, lots of clutter and rubbish. I do not even want to wonder where they relieve themselves.

We stayed self-sufficient for two nights. Despite the size of the car park, it was very quiet. The service facilities work perfectly. It is nice that nobody minds more than eight motorhomes staying here. Thanks to the city for the free site.

The latest comments are too negative. We had two lovely days with other normal motorhomes. All eight spaces with electrical connections were occupied. Disposal worked without problems. The site is currently not littered. Update: there were exactly 60 litres of fresh water for €1. The raw water for rinsing cassettes was actually defective.

Apparently being misused by migrant workers as a wild campsite. Accordingly, it is littered. I did not even get out.

The motorhome area is fine, about a ten-minute walk from the town hall square. It has a bin for rubbish. The service area is operational. One euro does not fill the 100-litre water tank. I had to put in another euro, and then my tank filled. The electricity supply also worked correctly, but I did not use it.

Thanks to the city for this site. Unfortunately, today—or perhaps for longer—there are migrant people here sleeping in their cars and spreading all their belongings around the site. Rubbish is everywhere. Doors seem to be slammed every five minutes, making it difficult to find peace. Otherwise, it is beautifully located by a river and surely even nicer in summer.

First of all, thanks to the city for not joining in the rip-off of motorhomes, and thanks for the free site. We had an excellent meal in town, about 20 minutes on foot. Shopping was also good, and we walked the dog along the Kocher. A quiet night. Electricity costs €1. Everything you need for one night is really here. Thanks again.

Of course there are nicer places. But it is close to the old town and free. I prefer that to the otherwise usual expensive city sites. Against that background, we had a quiet night. We are not going there to spend our camping holiday.
