2 Avenida Pierre de Coubertin, 10005, Cáceres
Been here?
This is a free asphalt parking area suitable for spending the night or visiting Cáceres. Recent stays were quiet, but much of the parking is sloped, with only some corners reasonably level. A park, shops and restaurants are nearby, while the historic centre is about 30 minutes away on foot or accessible by bus; there are no services.

Very good for spending the night: flat paved ground and quiet on a Tuesday evening.
For parking, it is perfect and the night was very quiet. To reach the historic city centre by bus is very easy. Walk down Avenue Pierre de Coubertin, go straight ahead at the roundabout; next to the bins there is a bus stop. Take bus 2 (Avenida Moctezuma) and get off at Plaza Obispo Galarza, the fifth stop. The ticket costs €1.10. At the stop, go down the steps and continue straight ahead towards Plaza Mayor.
It is a parking lot, not a service area. Given that there is no service area in Cáceres, I highly recommend it. It is a 30-minute walk from the centre, with a park next to it, ideal if you have a dog or children, and close to restaurants and shops. Level and plenty of space; we went on Saturday night with a 6 m van. Quiet for sleeping. Obviously, there are no services. Since there is no service area anywhere in the city, I think it is great. Overnight stays are possible.
A large paved parking lot. Some corners are more level, while the rest has a slight incline. It is in a quiet neighbourhood with shops, a 30-minute walk from the historic centre. We spent a peaceful, quiet night.
Simple parking lot. It is almost impossible to stand level, but we spent an undisturbed night here. A small supermarket 100 metres away is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to midnight. There is a park next to the parking lot, which is good for dogs. Behind the park is a bus station with free public toilets.
Quite well located for visiting the old town, 30 minutes on foot. But far too steep to stay overnight.
Very noisy and considerably uneven parking lot.
We spent a very peaceful and pleasant night in this parking lot. Obviously, it has no extra services.
Large, free, paved parking lot. Next to a park. I spent a quiet night without noise. The only downside is that the park has no drinking fountain, and directly behind the parking lot there is a school, so during the week car and children noise begins from 7:30 a.m. as people arrive at school. Otherwise, it is a quiet place at night.
Only vans fit here. This should be specified in the description.
A small tip: it is better to arrive after 2 p.m., because parents come to pick up their children from school and it gets very crowded. No problem finding a space after 2 p.m.
Unbeatable parking lot, with an adjoining park with grass and a fountain, a bakery and grocery shop open from 6 a.m. to midnight, and a quiet neighbourhood with countless bars and restaurants, close to the centre, a 20-minute walk away. The downsides are that there is no shade or services; it is just a large parking lot.
Magnificent, peaceful place. Take up two car spaces and you are set. About 15 minutes’ walk from the centre.
We spent two nights here without problems. It is a little sloping but comfortable for sleeping, and a little noisy, but manageable. About a 15-minute walk to the centre. There is a school next door.
