Unnamed Road, LA23 3NZ, Windermere
Been here?
This is a quiet back-lane stopping place beside a wooded area, about 20mins from Windermere. The original space suits 1 horsebox and 2 vans, while a recent report found room for 3 extra long wheel base vans, although locals also use it for parking. It offers peaceful overnight surroundings and good local dog walks. The access road is very narrow and difficult for larger vehicles.

Very narrow route, difficult in a motorhome. We crossed our fingers that we wouldn't meet any other vehicles.
Perfect relaxing spot to cool & escape out of the sun! - Very calm and peaceful overnight with very little traffic in the day. - Great local dog walks & very friendly locals. - Plenty of space for 3 extra long wheel base vans (but is used as parking for locals) - 1 Downside is that signal can be hit or miss (EE) but is fine with a booster!
Pulled up early afternoon, some dog walkers around but everyone very friendly. Beautiful nature walk just off the road which we used the next day to walk our dogs! Peaceful at night with hardly any cars around. We loved it! And so did our dogs :).
The river overflowed and the bridge flooded. There is a post indicating the water level, so apparently it happens more often. In any case, we couldn't cross the bridge. The road there is very narrow, making it difficult to turn around. We went somewhere else. The place itself looked as though parking there was not intended. It was in a corner of a road between meadows.
Would use again quiet night no traffic very narrow roads to get here I would say room for 1 crafter great dog walk in morning
