Nice enough place to stay. The birds singing are amazing and it's a quiet car park. You can do a beautiful walk to the Hermitage from here as well. I could hear the A9 but in the distance. Flat enough if you park up by the gate on the left side. £10.40 a night through Ringo and worth every penny
Stayed on a Friday night. Nice quiet spot just off the road . Lovely forrest walk. Arrived at 6pm , a few cars belonging to walkers . Once they where gone able to get a level spot. Ground on a bit of a slope but manageable.
A good basic park up, a tad Unlevel but nothing crazy if you don’t have levelling blocks you’ll be fine. No facilities, but some great walks from here, could barely hear the road over night
Very nice and all to ourselves after dog walkers had gone home. Can hear the rare odd car on the main road but nothing to stop you sleeping. Only just room to turn round a 7.5m van. Would not be possible if busy. Still £10.40 per night.
The parking area now costs £10.40 through the app. Too much, in my opinion, considering there are not even rubbish bins. The place is limited and sloped. We were there with four other campers. Walkers simply leave the dog-poo bags lying around. The two nearby roads can be heard at night. But it is nice for walking. Fine for passing through, since there is nothing else nearby.Translating
This is a tiny car park close to a main road and train line. It’s fine for an overnight if you’re looking for somewhere to sleep on the journey north or south. Unlike many of the Forest and Land stopovers this isn’t somewhere that I would choose as a destination in its own right. Lastly it really is only suitable for two vans
Dog walkers cyclist till late and again early morning, otherwise quite except for some road noise. Lovely walk under the bridges and along the river. Actual cost is £7.40, guess 40p goes to app. Payment is more like an honesty box, can’t imagine rangers ever come and check, but with less permissible places being available these stops should be supported.
Lovely quite car park can hear the road but only a little. Room for maybe 3 vans or 2 big.
The only place available in the area for sleeping in a van, especially out of season when the Dunkeld campsite is closed, so it is convenient. However, the ground is sloped and it is close to the road, so it is noisy. Not worth the requested £7.Translating
Noisy, not level, dark and a very rough surface. If you are desperate, fine, otherwise there are better locations
Despite the construction site, you can reach the parking area. Great location because it is close to the motorway. You can hardly hear the road, but the construction site appears to operate at night. There was construction noise and trucks driving all night. One star deducted for that. Otherwise recommended. Thanks for providing this possibility.Translating
Large part of the area is being used for storage in relation to nearby roadworks and remaining space wasn't sufficient for parking responsibly. We moved on!
Found on forestry Scotland’s website. Arrived in the dark on the 8/12/24. One other van present. Slight slope, but positioned well without using chocks. Warden came around in the morning, left note on other vans windscreen. Extended Stay the night scheme until 2024, £7 for the night. Great stop over on way home and so close to the main road. Some slight noise, but hardly noticed.
Great stopover at side of A9, quiet location and undisturbed, there is noise from the A9 but you soon forget this as you do for the passing trains. On arrival though car park was being used for possible " naughty" liaison. Yes the car park isn't level but it's no issue, isn't why you're parking in nature the reason for you being there?
Didn’t end up staying because it is a very uneven car park.Translating
