Hunderfossen Camping

You must pay for everything! The children's area is broken. There is no beach. It is very noisy; there is a train and a highway. Very expensive. Don't come here.

We came here because the other campsites were full. There is constant road noise. The bathrooms are very modern and nice, but you have to pay extra for only four minutes of showering! We will not return!

We spent two nights here to explore the area around Lillehammer. We could choose our pitch. The sanitary facilities were clean and very modern. However, showers are limited to four minutes. Anyone sensitive to noise should note that trains run on one side and the main road is across the river.

We loved the campsite. We did not hear the train even once. You have to pay for everything—cooking, washing, showers, microwave, and so on. They accept ACSI: 305 NOK (€28) for two people, a baby, a dog and a van for one night, including two showers included with ACSI. Nice walk around the cabins of the campsite/hotel itself.

We don’t recommend.. loud and noisy- train passes right near the campsite, train announcements that you can hear, car noise from the road. Overpriced! Nothing is included in the night price and is required additional pay… won’t come again

No reception, needed to drive to the hotel to pay for entry. Overpriced- 465 for one night, 50 kr for washing machine once +50 kr for drying once

Very nice site! At the end of August, there were only a few individual campers left. Nothing to complain about. Everything was great, and the price (€42 for one night with two showers) was reasonable for the facilities.

A great place to camp if you're planning to visit Hunderfossen Family Park. The sanitary facilities are clean. We visited the campsite outside of the high season, so the campsite reception was closed, and we checked in at Hunderfossen Hotel instead.

The campsite it situated directly next to the family park for kids, but please check its opening hours in advance. I didn't like the noise from the street. The train line is OK. However, it never happened to me before like here, that cooking costs extra. The toilets were OK, but could be cleaner I find. There is only few vegetation but a playground for kids on the campsite.

Between the railway line and the road. A little noisy... the rest fully lives up to expectations, even if the place and this type of camping lack charm.

Lovely campsite, great clean facilities and really handy for visiting Hunderfossen family park. Small playground for kids (outdoor and indoor). Lots of things cost extra (showers, cooking) and some noise from train line and E6 but didn’t interrupt our sleep in camper. Would recommend

Very nice and large campsite! For 2 people and 1 motorhome, 400 NOK; 20 NOK for a 4-minute shower. Sanitary facilities new or renovated and in excellent condition! Main road very noisy across from the lake, hence only 4 stars. Otherwise it was great for 2 nights. By bike, it takes 10 minutes to reach the cable-car station for Hafjell bike park.

Very large and beautiful campsite. Electricity directly at the pitch. Water supply and disposal at the designated area. Sanitary facilities in very good condition. Also suitable for larger motorhomes. Fishing not possible.

Very large site, with electricity generously distributed everywhere. In the low season there were only 6 motorhomes. Mostly grass pitches, some with asphalt surfaces. Water and waste disposal okay. Water can be taken anywhere along the main path. Noise from the E6 and railway is present, but tolerable in our view. However, there is no internet at all, which is surprising in Norway, especially since there is a hotel and leisure park behind it (which does not cause any disturbance).

Fabulous campsite with all the facilities you could ever wish for. Walking distance to the amusement park. Surrounded by the lush green Norwegian landscape which is breathtaking. You can even see the largest troll in the world here. Toilets and showers spotless. Staff friendly. Couldn’t wish for more!

The proximity to the amusement park is fantastic but there were many disappointments. The laundry machines were broken and my electronic key for the hot showers did not work despite having paid for them. The train station announcements continued all night so we slept badly.

Unfortunately one of the worst sites on our tour of Norway. To begin with: the sanitary facilities are impeccable, but 20 kroner for a 4-minute shower is not justified at this high price! Basically everything costs extra… once and never again.

Very poor value for money, very expensive but no service; everything costs extra. You need a card to get into everything. Only one kitchen with washing-up facilities, extremely far from some pitches. Sanitary facilities good. We would not come back. Very anonymous and impersonal…

Beautiful location by the water and close to the amusement park. Very nice and well-maintained toilets. The only downside is the railway tracks and trains passing from time to time. Overall, everything is a plus.
