Been here?
Compact camper stop with 5 marked outside spots right in front of a campsite on the Rhine near Chur, using the campsite's own facilities. Clean, staffed sanitary blocks and friendly staff are repeatedly praised, plus bakery orders and an on-site restaurant. Expect road/rail/motorway noise and dust from an adjacent gravel works, often from early morning, plus occasional military firing nearby. Spots are unmarked/tight and level tarmac. Price is around 18-20 CHF per van plus person, with electricity extra; dump/water sometimes billed separately.

The campsite would be quite okay if the pitches were organized. You can park the motorhome pretty much wherever and however you want. There are no boundaries. On our second visit here, we really didn't like that. Far too close together. We were already cramped, and then a neighbor, who had much more space, kept walking past us, practically underneath our awning.
5 pitches. Cost €26 for two people with electricity and tourist tax. You can use the campsite's facilities.
Outdoor area next to the campsite. You can use the various facilities inside the campsite. Very friendly staff, the river is very noisy but you get used to it. Bus transport included in the price. We had a very good experience.
We were very satisfied. Small, quiet campsite and not even that expensive by Swiss standards. We paid about 72 francs for two nights, a small van and two people. The sanitary facilities were very clean. Bread rolls could be ordered daily; the bread and rolls from the local baker were delicious.
The height restriction does not exist.
Positive: close to the river, services available (shower, dumping, etc.), cleanliness, and friendly staff. Negative: overnight stay in the roadside parking area costs 30 CHF; the campsite is currently in an industrial area under construction, so from 6 a.m. there is a lot of traffic and construction machinery. 3.5 CHF for the dog even though it never set paw in the campsite.
The location is wonderful in terms of nature. Directly on the Danube, whose bank you can walk down to. The service staff are very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are fine. Unfortunately, there is a shooting range nearby, hence the deduction. We stopped here overnight. The site is ideal and recommendable for that.
Beautiful site with many seasonal campers. The city center and train station are quickly and cheaply reached by bus. There are five outdoor pitches next to the entrance. They cost only five francs per day.
Hello From March 7 to 8, 2026 Beautiful, sunny from early morning until 5 p.m. The nature is wow, and the staff are extremely friendly. The restaurant is excellent. No glamping, just pure camping in one of the most beautiful regions in Switzerland.
We stayed in the motorhome parking area on December 26. Since it was Christmas and Saturday, there was no activity from the gravel works and the military was not shooting either. Many walkers, but generally very quiet. 19.80 CHF for the pitch, tourist tax and rubbish. Sun from around 9:30 or 10 a.m. at the end of December.
We were passing through and stayed for one night in one of the five motorhome spaces in front of the campsite. Very friendly welcome and we slept peacefully. We were allowed to dump waste, use the campsite's showers and toilets, and had an electricity connection. We paid 18.50 Swiss francs plus 3.60 for electricity. Excellent value for Switzerland.
The price-performance ratio is good. We stayed outside and paid the equivalent of 25 euros for two people and electricity, while being able to use the sanitary facilities. Noise did not bother us, and the dog could take lovely walks along the water. Ideal for an inexpensive stopover in Switzerland.
Campsite found late, open until 8 p.m. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The only drawback is that it is close to the motorway, which is quite noisy. Inexpensive for Switzerland: 34 francs for a van and two people.
Good camping but you need to book in advance for the laundry and we went to this campsite mainly for that. We paid for 2 people in a tent with tax 34 CH
5 parking spaces on the left side of the road. Close to the motorway and river. Access to the campsite facilities at no extra cost. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. No electricity hookup. 2 adults and 2 children: 19 francs. Friendly staff.
Excellent parking area right next to the campsite; in fact, you have to pay the campsite for the space. 23 francs with electricity or 19 without electricity (at the campsite it is double). You have free access to the campsite toilets and showers. There is a small grocery shop at reception and the campsite restaurant. Apart from the noise of the Rhine, it is very quiet. Allow about 25 to 30 minutes on foot to visit the center of Chur.
Beautifully located on the Rhine, with walking opportunities, which is great when my dog is on board. Very friendly welcome and a shop with bread-roll service. There is a restaurant on site. However, there are many very run-down seasonal-camper cabins and a sanitary area that is clean but otherwise meets only minimal standards. There is a military area next door where a lot of shooting took place.
Very nice small campsite. Ideal for visiting Chur or cycling along the Rhine. Excellent breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean sanitary facilities. All water and waste services included in the price. Very good value. We would gladly return.
Actually not a beautiful place, with a lot of construction noise and dust from the building site. Unfortunately, there are few alternatives. Fine for one night.
Really loud! You can always hear the motorway, and in the morning the military, which must be nearby, starts shooting and detonating explosives. The whole ground vibrated. The campsite itself is nice. The sanitary facilities are quite far away, depending on the pitch, but okay. The shower water temperature is difficult to adjust, but showers are included.
Ideal location for visiting Chur.
Excellent motorhome pitch. We paid 18 Swiss francs per night without electricity, but all campsite facilities were free. Neat toilets and showers. Fresh-water filling, grey-water and toilet dumping. Excellent restaurant with fair prices for delicious food. The downside is waking up to cement trucks and having your motorhome get dusty. Great for cycling and walking!
