Been here?
An earth parking area near the Grangent Dam with a superb view of the dam and Château d’Essalois. The access road and parking surface have recently been refurbished, and access is now possible in both directions, although some sections remain uneven. The upper part is flatter and offers space for only 2 or 3 vehicles, while the rest is more accidented. Nights are generally calm despite occasional cars on the nearby road, and there is no shade or network.

Breathtaking view, very beautiful place and plenty of space. A few cars passed during the night.Translating
Very beautiful view. Stopped for lunch. No shade and no signal, but this is a spot worth returning to for a longer stay.Translating
Perfect! Quiet despite a lightly trafficked road, magnificent view!!!! Very easy access.Translating
What more can I say than: magnificent! I have rarely been to a spot with such a view. I stayed alone for two days in the off-season, perfect! The dirt parking area and the small road have been resurfaced, and there is no longer a designated entrance or exit, so it is perfect in both directions.Translating
A nice spot with a beautiful view and bins, but the road is rough. You need to park right at the top or at the other parking area. There are a few people in the evening who come to eat while enjoying the view.Translating
Very beautiful viewpoint. You need to park on the upper section to be as level as possible, but only two or three vehicles can fit there; the rest of the road is very rough.Translating
Magnificent view and a quiet place to spend the night.Translating
The panorama is magnificent at sunrise. Quiet night despite the nearby road. The access road is badly damaged, so watch your vehicle's underbody.Translating
Very poor condition, but beautiful viewpoint.Translating
Wonderful view from here. I spent one night here. In the evening there were still two cars belonging to hikers and visitors, but I was alone there overnight. A car passes occasionally, but it did not bother me.Translating
Wonderful view and very quiet at night. I deducted one star only because of the road, but otherwise it is a magnificent place where I will stop again. No barrier.Translating
100 metres before this, there is a new parking area for two or three motorhomes. It is covered with gravel and relatively flat, with a magnificent view of the two castles.Translating
A quiet night despite being close to the road; there were two motorhomes that evening. Beautiful view of the two castles and a few trails to explore a little farther down.Translating
Very nice spot with a beautiful view. You can sleep here; apart from two cars passing during the night, it was quite peaceful for a Saturday night.Translating
Beautiful spot! We had dinner with a spectacular view over the lake and the castles. Stayed for the night. The road is nearby, but we were surprised how quiet it was. Clean spot, but still did a little bit of cleaning up. We left well rested. (No services)
