9 Via Fazzatoia, 70024, Gravina in Puglia
Been here?
A large, free, mostly level gravel parking area near the stadium, police station and civil protection building, with no services. It can be quiet at night, although traffic, loud music and stadium or fair events may cause disturbance. A gate is locked at night, and recent visitors were asked to leave at 21:00. The site is useful for visiting Gravina in Puglia.

The place is good for visiting the city. There is a lot of rubbish along the edges. At 9 p.m. we were politely asked to leave because the gate was going to be locked.
There is a gate and a very friendly attendant who locks it at night.
Parking used to visit the city and stay overnight between a winter Saturday and Sunday. A quiet night, with an occasional passing car, but generally peaceful. However, keep in mind that it is in the fairground and stadium area, so during events it may be unavailable or noisy, chaotic, and paid.
We parked to visit the city; there were five motorhomes. On gravel but level. It seems quiet, near the police and civil protection offices.
Good for the night.
Very large space. In December, only a few cars moved around at night. Overall, no disturbance. A little rubbish.
Perfect for visiting the city. We parked diagonally just before the municipal police station. Beware of the restricted area before it. The parking area is enormous but cannot accommodate all the spectators' vehicles on match Sundays! You only need to wait a little ...
Very large parking area. There are no facilities. For safety, we parked on the opposite side of the civil protection headquarters, from which we asked permission to stay overnight. The area is quite chaotic because cars pass continuously during the night until about 3 a.m. On Friday morning, the weekly market is set up from 5 a.m.
We spent a quiet night; there is no lighting. The nearby building is the local police station.
We stayed overnight from Monday to Tuesday. Apart from two trucks, the place was empty. In the early evening there was still some activity because of the station. Occasionally a car came by and people walked their dogs. We had a quiet night. A tip regarding access: do not come through the city from the south. It is very narrow because of parked cars. Better go west around the gorge or come from the north.
The place could be suitable—lots of space and just over a kilometer from the ravine—if you do not mind loud music, with some noisy people spending the evening and part of the night not far from your motorhome.
The place is ideal for visiting the city. We arrived on a Thursday, when there was a fence in front of the area, so we simply spent the night by the roadside in front of the police building. No problem; it was quiet until the market vendors arrived.
Excellent for visiting the town and also for spending the night. I did not feel uneasy at all. When I arrived, there were three cars, which later left. A passerby walking his dog reassured me and gave me several tips for visiting Gravina the next day. This morning is Friday, the fair is open, and apparently there is no chaos.
Blocked by fencing; access prohibited to unauthorized persons.
If you arrive on a Thursday evening, move away from the large forecourt above the parking area. From 6 a.m., vendors set up for the large regional Friday market. Cars keep circling this large parking area quite late. I did not sleep very well.
We spent a very quiet night on March 29. On Friday morning there is a weekly market inside the fairground area. The parking area is nevertheless very large and there are no space problems. For the night, although there is no particular reason, I suggest moving closer to the local police station. There are only bins for small rubbish. No facilities.
