Been here?
This spacious lay-by beside a lake suits car camping and motorhomes, with beautiful views and 4G internet. It overlooks Snowdon in the distance and has access to the lake, although the access can be muddy. The road is close, with vehicles travelling at about 40~ mph and causing the van to shake when passing. Traffic is fairly quiet between 10-6, but other stays report poor sleep from road noise.

Beaut location. Only park here if you are comfortable in laybys next to somewhat fast cars (40~ mph). Van did shake when they drove past but the road was fairly quiet between 10-6. Does the Job.
Very lovely place. We stayed two nights and cannot complain: beautiful views, a quiet road at night with perhaps the odd car, and overall a perfect spot. We will definitely come back in the future!
good spacious laybay for approx 6 vans , lovely view however it's a noisy road and we got very little sleep .
Beautiful place, but you are right beside the road, which has quite a lot of traffic.
It's not 5 stars because of the proximity of the road, but it's a beautiful spot, and I had it all to myself, even though the next layby along the lake was almost full.
Convenient overnight stop in a lay-by. Although relatively quiet, cars do pass at some speed, so expect noise if stopping overnight. Nice view and internet access.
Great spot in a lay-by with a strong 4G signal and amazing views of the lake. Quiet night with nobody disturbing us.
Amazing views of the lake and mountains, road was approximately 1 car every 15 minute in the evening, every 30 mins at night and then every minute from 5am. The noise is fine but the wave from the car driving past just made the van rock whilst sleeping. Your only about 1m away from cars going 60 so bound to happen. Amazing views and location if you don’t mind the cars
Great spot! We stayed overnight in our new camper. A few cars passed once the sun went down, and access to the lake was slightly difficult and muddy but manageable. Slept really well; highly recommended! Four stars because of the lake access.
Not bad, but a bit noisy because it is a lay-by.
Handy spot, nice deep lay by. Good view of lake. Road gets quiet later in the day
It’s a lay-by and the road is long and busy and cars move fast so you get a lot of wind movement when they pass. Not a good nights sleep for me. I’m sure it’s a wonderful spot but you don’t want to camp next to vehicles moving above 50mph
We stayed for one night. Good sized lay-by for our 7.25m motorhome. Weather was brutal but it is February. Gorgeous view. Quiet at night but had earplugs for wind & rain. Would stay here again.
noisy so moved on but it is nice for a walk
Amazing views of the lake and mountains and access to the lake. Right next to a road where cars go pretty fast and not much width space.
