A small gravel parking area above the treeline along the road between the Lautaret pass and Col du Galibier. It offers a splendid mountain view and very quiet nights, with space for one or two vehicles. The spot is at 2600m, where wind, cold and snow can occur even in September; water is available from a fountain.

Beautiful view! A gravel parking lot above the tree line. Even in mid-September it can already be very cold. Some people may have problems with the altitude. Very quiet at night.
great spot for a night and super calm with a great view.
One or two spaces maximum on a gravel area beside the road. At sunset, we had a marmot right in front of the van. The view is breathtaking. Please help keep this place as clean as possible.
Extraordinary view and absolute peace. We were just surprised by the cold and snow in mid-September: -5°C outside! Bring warm clothing.
