Large parking area near the monastery with generally fairly flat, level ground. Overnight stays are not permitted. There are no services apart from a rubbish bin, and a warning advises taking care of your belongings.

Very large, fairly level parking area. The sign saying “Take care of your belongings” is not very reassuring, at least in the low season when there is no one else around. No services apart from a rubbish bin.
A quiet place far from the bells! Perfect for a peaceful night. I had started my night in the main parking area at the top, but some idiot kept starting his vehicle, stopping it, restarting it, leaving, and coming back. A real pain! So I chose to come down to this parking area, and it was great!
