Koningin Astridlaan 55b, 8450, Bredene
Been here?
This family campsite offers 70-115 m² pitches for motorhomes, vans, caravans and tents, with paved or unpaved surfaces. It is 300 meters from the beach, shops, restaurants and coastal tram, with dunes, playgrounds, three toilet blocks and direct access to the Grasduinen recreational area. The campsite is generally calm and clean, although pitches can feel close together and some facilities need improvement. Showers cost €1/6min; of 3 washing machines, only one recently worked and it cost 5€. Reception is open 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.; winter stays require reservations.

They accepted us at the last minute even though it was July. The site and sanitary facilities are very, very clean. Quiet campsite close to the tram, dunes, beach, and town. Recommended.
Overall, a clean campsite with electricity and water nearby. Sanitary facilities cleaned twice a day; showers €1 for 6 minutes. Sometimes there is a queue for the dishwashing area. Coastal tram, Bredene Campings stop, nearby for excursions. Market Tuesday morning and Friday evening. Tourist office MEC Staf Verluys opposite. Near shops, restaurants, a camping store, and a swimming pool. Bredene shopping area 5.5 km away by bicycle.
We stayed here for two nights. The staff is friendly. The toilets could be a little cleaner. There is very little room for washing dishes. The site is sufficiently large, though some lanes are a little narrow. One drawback: an ice cream truck constantly drives around the site with loud music until evening. We found it annoying. The beach is easily reached in 10–15 minutes over a high dune.
We stayed for two nights while passing through. Unfortunately, we had to move after one night. It was not too bad, though; we had the sanitary facilities even closer. It has everything you need.
The pitches are rather small, with little privacy. The site is well maintained. “300 m to the beach” describes the distance as the crow flies! Unfortunately, only one of the three washing machines worked; it was household-sized and cost €5. Some playground equipment is broken. The walk to the beach takes about 15 minutes, but once there you are rewarded with the finest sandy beach.
Quiet. Clean. Well located. We stayed here for one night while passing through. Perfect for that.
Very convenient online booking, with a code to open the barrier. Friendly and welcoming staff. Clean sanitary facilities. Quiet campsite, 10 minutes from the sea. We stayed two nights and will come back.
Everything was great. It was easy to book online and enter using an access code! Clean sanitary facilities! We stayed one night, so everything was sufficient for us.
We stayed here for one week outside the school holidays. Quiet campsite, very clean sanitary facilities, friendly welcome, and free garbage bags on arrival. Close to the tram, convenient for visiting other coastal towns, and shops 600–700 m away. Magnificent dunes and clean beach. We had a grassy pitch.
Beautiful site, nice people, everything within walking distance, gladly again anytime.
This location is pretty top for visiting the beach. The campers are a bit too close but you have access to the main facilities very simple. The campers are parked on one street with half on the street and half on the paved floor with a simple garden. There is still margin to improve but the overall experience is pretty great
Very beautiful, clean, and well-maintained campsite 500 m from the beach. German-speaking, very friendly reception staff. Tasty restaurants within walking distance, as well as shopping facilities. Great cycle paths to Ostend and Bruges. The pitch is level and partly equipped with grass grids.
Beautiful pitches with electricity, water, shower, toilet, and disposal facilities.
Very nice campsite. Friendly ladies at reception. Neat, clean campsite. €33 per night for a camper including a dog. Within walking distance of the dunes, sea, and a pleasant town. We were allowed to choose our own pitch from a selected group, which felt very nice. Definitely recommended!
Super campsite with plenty of space and clean sanitary facilities. They even let us check in during the official quiet hours without us having to ask—very friendly staff!
We were able to reserve online easily one day in advance. Friendly welcome at reception, even in German. The sanitary facilities were clean and are currently being modernized.
Campsite close to the center. Large pitch, clean sanitary block.
Very nice place. Close to shops, the beach, and the tram. Very quiet. The reception staff are very friendly. Very clean showers and sanitary facilities. We will return.
Excellent for two nights. Everything clean and very well maintained. Tip: between the permanent campers, things have a relaxed Belgian atmosphere. Tip: visit Ostend by tram. Tip: the supermarket is not very close, so shop beforehand.
Very friendly welcome. We were allowed to choose from the pitches they suggested for our camper. Very clean sanitary facilities and showers. Everything within walking distance. Water and electricity were provided. A convenient stopover on our return journey.
I found a beautiful pitch for one night at very short notice. Everything clean, pleasant, and quiet. 16 A electricity included, and a water connection at the pitch. Very clean sanitary facilities. Very friendly reception staff.
We spontaneously looked for and found a pitch for one night. Everything clean, pleasant, and quiet. Very friendly ladies at reception :)
Originally booked for 10 days, stayed 23 days—that says it all. The whole team, including the owner, creates a wonderful atmosphere. Particular attention is paid to cleanliness in the sanitary area. Activities are organized for children and adults. Fortunately, there is no toilet paper unrolled onto the floor. Every problem is resolved. Thank you, we will be back soon.
Not very pleasant at reception, showers cost extra and are not necessarily cleaner than elsewhere. The urinals have no doors, and our pitch was directly opposite—not ideal with a child. In short, never again.
A good option for spending a few days at the beach, 10 minutes from the beach, with the possibility of taking the tram; Ostend is 30 minutes by bicycle. But I recommend booking online in high season, otherwise you can do as I did: arrive on site and negotiate even when it says full.
Very beautiful site, super nice staff. Perfectly close to the beach. The tram takes you everywhere. Bakery nearby and plenty of shopping options. We booked for three weeks, but liked it so much that we extended to six weeks. Despite the high season, the owner really made an effort to let us extend. Thank you.
Small, simple, quiet campsite with the essentials. Self-service arrival and departure possible, with a code and online payment. Electricity hookup, drinking water, and gray-water disposal available at every pitch, so no long extension cable is needed. Standard blue camping electrical socket. Toilets can be emptied in the campsite bathrooms, with a suitable area. Excellent cycle path to Ostend, separate from the road and perfect for our eight-year-old daughter. The beach is also directly nearby, or the tram to go farther is a few minutes' walk away.
Friendly receptionist and well-organized check-in. A genuine family campsite, with playing children. Clean pitches, bakery and Delhaize within walking distance, showers payable at €1 for 6 minutes, tokens available at reception. Pay attention to reception opening hours. Few dishwashing sinks, but your own tap at the pitch. Dogs allowed, including on part of the beach.
Very helpful reception when we arrived at the last minute. A well-located campsite in a lovely, accessible town.
