Mergentheimer Straße 13b, 97072, Würzburg
Been here?
This small campsite beside the Main offers peaceful, narrow pitches and requires a reservation. A recent stay for 2P without electricity cost 24€, with clean toilets and showers accessed by a PIN. Cassette disposal and water filling are available, and the site has a restaurant. The old town is reachable on foot or quickly by tram, with the castle visible from the site.

We reserved by telephone, and they also noted our name and mobile numbers. When we arrived, our space had already been given away because the person handling reservations got completely lost in his outrageous paperwork mess. The alternative space he offered us was far too small. It was a real shame; the location on the Main is wonderful.
We inquired by email but received no answer. We called, but only reached voicemail, left a message, and received no call back. On site, we were brusquely turned away: no reservation, no entry! Yet reservations cannot be made. The motorhome site in the center by the Main is great and even cheaper. Again and again!
We stayed here for one night, two people without electricity, for €24. The telephone reservation worked well. The showers and toilets are accessed with a PIN and are exceptionally clean. Filling and emptying facilities were also no problem. The tram gets you into the city quickly.
We reserved by telephone and were welcomed warmly. Lovely motorhome site near the city center. The sanitary facilities are clean, and the attached restaurant is excellent. Super-friendly service and delicious food. We hope to get a space again soon.
I tried calling, but there was no answer. I left a message and received no call back. I turned up anyway and was just grunted at. We went elsewhere, where they actually wanted our business.
Small campsite directly on the Main. Telephone reservation is essential, even for spontaneous stays, otherwise you may be turned away. The site operator has a strong Franconian accent and is difficult to understand, and he is not the most approachable person. Sanitary facilities are clean; showers were included in the €20 price for two people with a tent. The tram runs to the city center every 5–8 minutes.
Without a reservation... No chance.
A short-notice booking was possible. Very quiet but cramped location. About a 30-minute walk to the center. Sanitary facilities were good and clean. We would book here again. At €27 all-inclusive, the price is acceptable.
Friendly and helpful operator. We stayed one night for €25, including electricity, for two adults and one van. Sanitary facilities were orderly. The location is close to the center yet very peaceful, directly on the Main. We had reserved by telephone in advance.
The site apparently is no longer in operation. The site manager directed us to another place, even though the site was completely empty.
We tried twice to make a reservation by telephone and could barely understand the operator. We then simply came in person to ask for a pitch. The man we met seemed grumpy and under the influence of alcohol or other substances. He himself recommended that we stay in the free parking area next door.
Arrived today without a reservation and politely asked if they had a campervan space. I was gruffly told no and told to move on. Politeness costs nothing.
No English—must use the phone.
Quiet small campsite directly on the river. Tram stop right outside, with perfect connections to the city. Water, sink, showers, and toilets are about 200 meters away. Telephone reservation is essential; the site is very popular. Unfortunately, there is no bread-roll service and no gray-water disposal, only a disposal basin for portable chemical toilets.
Very nice, directly on the Main. Small campsite with showers, toilets, and filling and disposal facilities. The city center is quickly reachable by bicycle. €22 for a motorhome, including two people and rubbish.
