Riverside daytime stop, no overnight

The sign is clearly visible after all. Overnight stays are prohibited. Please respect the rules of the host countries.

You cannot stay overnight, but it is very pleasant for a midday break.

There are large signs prohibiting camping and tent camping. You are not allowed to park here even with a motorhome. This should be taken into account. We think so. However, we later saw the small toilet hut hidden in the woods.

Completely remote, not signposted from the road, and the road to the site is a disaster. There is a dark dry toilet for emergencies. Because of the large number of mosquitoes, we drove on.

There is a sign saying all overnight camping is prohibited. It’s a really nice place otherwise!

We spent a quiet night here with four other campers. Lots of mosquitoes this season. The area was ideal, but this morning a no-camping sign had been installed, which is why I am giving it one star!

Clean and peaceful place. Compost toilet and fire pit available. A few locals visited the shore. We even received a Midsummer greeting. :)

Nice and quiet place. Sweden is on the other side of the river. 4 stars because of all the mosquitoes.

Beautiful secluded spot in the wilderness on the Swedish/Finnish border river, with a fire pit and compost toilet. In winter, it may only be recommended for four-wheel-drive vehicles.

Great spot, just as described. Keep the place clean so it stays this way!

This spot is amazing. We had everything we needed. One star deducted because of the mosquitoes. Nevertheless, we would come back. :)

A quiet and beautiful place by the flowing river. Easy access. We arrived late and there was only one other camper. Some mosquitoes but they didn't bother too much. Also found elk feces 50 meters north from the river.

Quiet place directly by the river. Swimming possible, but beware of the current. Local fishing spot. Mostly level ground. We stayed with four other motorhomes. Lots of mosquitoes. We would come back.

Nice peaceful place. Muonionjoki flows quite rapidly here, almost white water. Not so good for swimming. Dry toilet in good condition. Lot of space and grilling hut.

Great place! The sound of the river is impossible to miss. In the middle of nature. We were alone here.
