Been here?
Camping Río Vero is a large, simple campsite beside the river, with spacious shaded pitches and very quiet nights in a natural setting. Sanitary facilities are clean but ageing, the showers can be slippery, and electricity is somewhat weak. It offers a bar, food, excursion equipment and access to a river bathing spot, while the shop is closed for repairs. A recent one-night stay cost 31€.

Lovely riverside campsite, with well-shaded pitches. Quite dusty and sometimes a little noisy. Very large campsite, with just one sanitary block, always very clean. Very friendly welcome; everyone speaks French. Excellent canyoning activity!
We stayed for four nights. No-frills campsite in the middle of nature. Friendly, attentive and responsive staff. Older but clean sanitary facilities. Beware, the showers are slippery. Spacious shaded pitches. Electricity is a little weak. Very quiet nights. We paid €24 per night. The advertised price was €23.
We paid €31 for one night! That’s not the advertised price.
Quiet, large campsite. We stayed at the very back, close to the river. Water supply nearby. Showers and toilets are located at the front and in the middle of the campsite. Very friendly staff. The shop was closed for repairs. Visit Alquézar and the Pasarelas route; it’s easy enough by bicycle.
Very good experience. Very quiet campsite with all services. Plenty of shade under the trees by the Río Vero, although there are also sunny pitches that I don’t recommend in hot weather. There is no swimming pool, but there is a swimming area in the Río Vero with a magnificent pool. Above all, I would highlight the friendliness of the reception staff. Black- and grey-water emptying point opposite the entrance. €23 for motorhome, two people and a dog.
Superb welcome and helpful staff. All services, bar, groceries, excursion equipment, clean sanitary facilities with hot water, pitches with electricity currently being repaired. Small river swimming spot. Close to Alquézar. We will come back.
Clean and well maintained, with immaculate showers. Truly relaxing, close to the river. Excellent value.
Very good campsite, just the way we like them! Simple and inexpensive—€18 for two people in a motorhome. Hot water in the showers included in the price and very quiet. Thank you for the warm welcome in French! Recommended.
Came here for a shower. €4 per shower per person. The sanitary facilities are clean and there is hot and cold water.
A campsite that met our expectations. Warm welcome during this hot September. Quiet. Thank you for this peaceful break.
Quiet campsite in nature. The sanitary facilities really need replacing, with mould in the showers, etc. At the restaurant, we could only choose between pizza (from the freezer) or tapas. Everything was fried in old oil. The campsite is a good base for various trips.
Lovely site with all the amenities and much better value than other camp site just below the town. The light timer in the shower is a bit quick - I was showering in the dark until someone else came in :)
Very nice place, sleeping with the sound of the river next to the van. Great restaurant on site.
Family campsite with beautiful shaded pitches beside the river, a nice restaurant and bar, welcoming staff, and peaceful, quiet nights, 5 km from the magnificent village of Alquézar. Older but clean sanitary facilities. Excellent price: €21 for one motorhome with two people and electricity.
Very well-located campsite with access to the river and beautiful pitches. One converted van + two adults without electricity: €15. The only negative point is the sanitary facilities. They are clean but much too old.
Basic campsite with potential. Spacious, shady pitches; simple, but with a good little bar/restaurant, and quiet. Try the canyoning. The fortified town of Alquezar is nearby, with good parking options for motorhomes. Fine for a few nights.
Friendly campsite but nothing special. Quiet night. €31 for a large van with two adults and two children. Sanitary facilities far away but clean. Black- and grey-water emptying outside.
Shaded, swimming in the river, adequate facilities. €25.50 per night for a van with two people and electricity.
Large campsite, unmarked dirt pitches, access down to the river through the campsite, bar with terrace, water fountains throughout the site, but few sanitary facilities although they are clean. €34 per night for two people and two dogs with car, awning and electricity.
We stayed one evening, two adults and a two-year-old child with car and caravan for €25, without electricity. The place is fine, with a bar, restaurant and small supermarket. Two hamburger menus with fries and a drink cost €30; a freshly baked loaf at the supermarket cost €2.20, and water €2. It has very good access to the river for swimming, which is welcome because it was very hot. Facilities not very clean, and many people act as if the place belongs to them.
Unmarked pitches, so you need to be willing to move if staying several nights. The sanitary facilities are not new and are a little inadequate for the number of people. But this campsite is well located and very family-friendly. The Río Vero is at the end.
Very friendly, completely French-speaking staff. I hadn’t booked and found a place without any problem with my 8.6 m motorhome. €26 for two adults and a dog. Restaurant, mini-market, service station included, and a lovely river.
Well located, with the river running all along the campsite. Spacious pitch. Very friendly welcome. Sanitary facilities somewhat far from some pitches and a little old.
Nice setting and very friendly staff. However the campsite has only a few shady spots and half of them are reserved for "long term visitors", thus if you are not early enough you end up cooking in the hot sun. The toilets are clean, but there are only two block close to the entrance, if you end up parking far to the end you have to walk some 500 mts.
Beautiful campsite, with a river swimming area, 5 km from the Alquézar walkways. The campsite staff are very friendly and there is a market, restaurant, bar and excursions for canyoning. The emptying area is difficult to access if you have a motorhome.
A little expensive for what it is, but it meets the expectations of a basic campsite.
One person with a motorhome and one dog: €23. Very friendly welcome from the French women. Pitches are not delimited. Emptying the cassette outside the campsite is very complicated. The sanitary facilities need renovation; leaking showers mean there is no pressure. It’s expensive for what it is.
Friendly welcome in French, spacious dirt pitch. The main negative is that the campsite is large but has only one sanitary block at the entrance, and it is very old and uninviting for showering. We won’t return.
This is a lovely campsite with access to lovely walks and swimming in the river. An easy bike ride to Alquazar which is really worth a visit. We had good food in the restaurant and the bar nice and we had fun there. All the staff were great. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because the chemical toilet emptying is out of the campsite and over the road which isn’t very easy.
Great campsite, French-speaking welcome, very clean, hot showers. Since it was off-season, we could choose our pitch. We stayed for two nights.
