Unnamed Road, 9950
Been here?
This daytime parking area lies on an unmade track beside the sea, just outside Vardø, with several parking spaces and a picnic table. Overnight stays and camping are prohibited. A path leads to the whale-dragon artwork and a fireplace, while the bay may offer whale sightings. The track is wide enough for all vehicles but has some minor potholes.

A spot not far from the Drakkar Leviathan artwork. Perfect for exploring the peninsula on foot and/or taking a break! Overnight stays forbidden!
Nice place to stop; the artwork was built from driftwood. Picnic possible. Camping forbidden.
Beautiful walk in the area; you can come here on foot from the town. The artwork is interesting and set in a superb location. The access track is suitable for all vehicles, wide enough, sometimes with a few harmless potholes. Parking is only allowed during the day.
The fantastic view and the great sights along the route make up for the poor road conditions. Alternatively, park at the beginning of the road and turn it into a great hike.
The entire track is, logically, prohibited for camping. A brand-new sign at the entrance has been installed because many people do not seem to understand that parking outside the car parks or stabilised areas is forbidden; on this track, those are the passing areas. There are plenty of spots on the road to Hamningberg.
