1 Route de la Mer, 50430, Saint-Germain-sur-Ay
Been here?
Forty-nine spacious pitches 700 metres from sandy beach, near restaurants, bakery, and superette. Very clean, well-maintained, quiet overnight. Critically, NO shade—located at foot of relay antenna; uncomfortable in hot weather. WiFi weak. No grey- or black-water discharge available. Local product vending machines onsite. Walking distance to beach and hiking paths. €5 lifetime CAMPING-CAR PARK network pass.

This is a pleasant, well-maintained and very well-located area close to the beaches, restaurants, and a small bakery. An example of cleanliness and facilities that should be followed by many other municipalities. Thank you, Camping-Car Park, for this wonderful area!
Close to the coast. Unshaded area at the foot of a communications mast.
We have sometimes been disappointed by the lack of maintenance at these areas and by the value for money, but there is truly nothing to criticize here. The area is well maintained and close to everything: the beach, shops, and a hiking trail to Saint-Germain’s harbor. There is also a small service station right at the entrance, with AdBlue, which is convenient. You will find a laundromat right next door.
If you want peace and quiet and to walk along the beach at low tide, this is your place. A truly peaceful place!
The location is very good; the downside is that there is no shade at all, which would be appreciated given the heat these days. All services working.
Spacious, clean and very quiet at night, located near the beach, cafés, restaurants and a small supermarket. No problems, everything works perfectly. Just one comment about the yellow recycling bin for packaging, which was overflowing and urgently needed emptying.
Beautiful, clean site. Nicely separated parking bays. The service area is easy to access and clean. The road is barely audible. WiFi on the site is better than in many places in France. Walking to the sea, the seemingly endless beach and the restaurants through the village is very pleasant. Wonderful surroundings. And best of all: all dogs are kept on leashes (grin).
Quiet camping area a few hundred metres from the village and beach. Just outside the area there is a self-service washing machine and dryer. Like many camping areas, it does NOT have a waste-water dump for cassette toilets, and it is impossible to empty one using a connected hose because the cassette dump is positioned too high.
A beautiful site. The village and sea are only a few metres away. We stayed here over Whitsun. There was a market in the village on Sunday. Two large 24/7 refrigerated vending machines selling fresh meat and seafood are right near the beach. However, the WiFi was very weak.
Quiet, all services, spacious pitches, nine motorhomes present... well, it is February! A pleasant bike ride to the Ay estuary, a relaxing natural area, accompanied by salty sea spray! We tried the local-products vending machine: good! A lovely one-night, one-day break. Facing Jersey!
Very good. Quiet. No sea view, but we are a five-minute walk from the sea. I imagine it is much busier in summer. There is a vending machine selling seafood, fish soup, jars of food (Bolognese, chilli, etc.) and meat, right next to the SNSM station.
Excellent camper area for an overnight stop. Pizzeria and small supermarket 100 metres away. Beach 300 metres away.
Magnificent and well-located camping area. For WiFi, stay near the entrance. All services are available, including a launderette at the service station opposite the entrance.
The site offers everything generally needed, is clearly organised and well divided into pitches. The trees around the edge are still quite young. The road has little traffic at night, so it is relatively quiet. However, what we consider extremely poorly planned and very annoying is the glass recycling area right nearby. There are several containers there and a lot of glass is disposed of—very annoying! Such a shame for what is otherwise a good site.
frequently use this club site for a few days away. easy access, good pitches well marked, water/casettte services clean, set on edge of small town, easy few minutes walk to good beach passing small but well stocked supermarket, places to eat, in beach carpark 2 sets locker fridges to buy fresh caught seafood and meat from butcher. Only down side is watch out for dog poo on pavements and grass.
A very good site, hard standing ànd level. Close to the beach. Recycling and aire des service on site. A 5 minute walk to restaurants and bars. no toilets or other services. WiFi quiet weak.
Well-located camping area by the sea. Pitches are marked out. Services nearby, including a service station and washing machine at the entrance to the area. The only drawback is the stones used for the access lane; there are no problems for vehicles, but wheelchair users have to go behind the motorhomes on the grass. An access path would be welcome. Otherwise, an impeccable stay.
Very beautiful grassy and sandy camping area, with large, well-marked pitches and all services, including washing machines and a service station. Close to the sea, a small Proxi shop, bakery and restaurants. Worth noting: dogs are allowed on the beach.
Lovely camping area, well located near the sea. All pitches are marked, with filling and dumping facilities and electricity on every pitch. It is possible to enter with a trailer. Shops and a restaurant nearby. Washing machine at the exit of the area. Service station as well. Entry to the area with the Pass’Étapes card. €15 for 24 hours.
Very nice camping area; the pitches are adequate. The beach is nearby, with a Proxi shop for supplies. Washing machine and dryer at the entrance.
Large area with all services. I read the complaints, but how many areas do you know that provide electricity, a washing machine, dumping and unlimited fresh water? Proxi shop and vending machines in the village. I recommend walking along the coast to the haven.
This is a very nice Camping-car Park aire. The pitches are spacious and reasonably level. All the services are working. We have a peaceful nights sleep. There is a laundry point just outside. There is space for trailers as long as they are not too big.
What a sad and gloomy area!!!! Don’t expect to park a motorhome and a trailer here!!! A minivan and trailer at most, and even then not in all spaces.... We left and went to a much more pleasant municipal campsite that was only €1 more expensive....
Another municipality going private with Camping-Car Park; soon they will privatise all the services. All of this was probably done without a tender process. Attention, ladies and gentlemen, elected officials.
The municipality has come under Camping-Car Park control, what a shame! On the other hand, the place is clean and well located. It would be good to have rates with or without electricity.
It’s a rip-off; at this price they are taking people for fools. On top of that, they influenced the town hall, which installed height barriers everywhere. I do not recommend Camping-Car Park. That’s all!
It’s a shame you have to give one star to leave a review. From the outside, the site already looked rather poor. We couldn’t get in because you need a special camper card, which can be topped up at the machine. But there was no information about where to get one. Luckily, there are other sites in the area.
An area to avoid; either have a restaurant or a camping area, but not both. They understood everything and did everything to stop people from staying (money, money, money).
Clean and pleasant area. XXL vehicle no problem. Entrance and service area very good, but the exit is narrow. Quiet, with a fuel and AdBlue pump as well as a washing-machine and dryer block right in front of the area. The only negative point, which is not Camping-Car Park’s fault, is poor internet reception, as in many parts of Normandy.
We arrived in front of it, and stayed there because you had to be a member, but we are renting a motorhome ☹️☹️
a good site, close to the beach (dogs allowed on the beach even in June) with a few cafes and bars. We had a quiet night. Whilst the site is not particularly attractive, it is clean and well organised and goodvalue for money, and of course the beach is lovely!
Very beautiful place, a shame it is a little far from the beach.
