Unnamed Road, 46173, Benagéber
Been here?
A free camping area beside the Benagéber reservoir, with attractive scenery, picnic tables, a bar and a water fountain. The shore is flood-prone, and overnighting there can result in being moved on. Toilets have recently been described as unsanitary, while the showers were unusable. The area is tranquil but attracts fishermen and visitors, especially at weekends.

We spent two nights here with a T4 on the beach. We asked at the kayak rental whether we were allowed to stay overnight. They said people are rarely asked to leave and are usually allowed to stay until morning. We had no problems. There is a fountain for water. Toilets and showers were available; old but clean.
It is still a camping area, but free. Be careful if you spend the night beside the reservoir: it is considered a flood zone and you may be asked to leave. Some campers told me that you must request authorization from PROP to camp.
A magnificent place, unfortunately people do not respect it. The toilets are unhygienic, with excrement everywhere, and the shower is unusable.
Very peaceful area with beautiful scenery. It is a camping area, and although there is no sign prohibiting it, you can only park to visit the reservoir and then go up to sleep in the village area. We spent the first night without problems, but on the second day the environmental police came and told us we could not sleep there. The road to get there is in perfect condition except for a short section.
5 stars to compensate for the fool in the comment below who gave 1 star because landslides ruined the road to the campsite. As if that's the campsites fault and this weather isn't bad enough for them already...
Unfortunately, because of landslides, it is currently accessible only with a 4x4 vehicle with high ground clearance.
Very nice place with a hippie bar next door. Great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the showers and toilets are currently locked.
A very beautiful place; the last few meters are a bit bumpy, but we managed to get back out with our 7.3-meter motorhome. We spent the night completely alone and could hear the fish jumping.
Recreation area with toilets, showers, picnic area, and barbecue facilities on the shore of the reservoir. Very quiet, surrounded by trees. Follow the signs for the Fuente Muñoz recreation area.
